Velvety Pumpkin Soup With Blue Cheese and Bacon

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
this soup is so deliscious. and the extra touch of bacon and bleu cheese as a garnish really give it an elegant and upscale feel. i would make this certainly as a first course to Thanksgiving dinner and any time we have special company over during the cooler months. it is soooo easy!

Make Ahead French Toast

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
this recipe was so easy to make and turned out great. (i was a little nervous making it for my husband's family the morning after thanksgiving, since i'd never made it before). but i was really surprised at how easy and delicious it was. i listened to the advice from reviewer "Cookin in D Town" from Oct 1st, and added some extra spices, and poured out the extra liquid after turning the bread slices over again before cooking. this was not at all soggy. perfect! i will make this again....and again.

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
this tasted amazing! and it was soooo easy. i added a bit of horsradich(spell check that one)to the marinade and my husband loved it. just when you get a taste of the sweetness from the maple syrup, a zing of garlic and spice comes in to balance it out. great! i would make this dish for company- so easy, so good!

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake II

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2005
i made this cake the night before new years eve and after it cooled down from baking- i tossed it in the freezer. the following evening i brought it to a dinner party and it thawed nicely by dessert time. i was amazed at how many compliments i got...considering it was soooo easy to make. i used all lowfat cheeses in my recipe (not fat-free) and i think it tasted just as rich as if i hadn't skimped on the fat and calories. this one is a keeper.

Chocolate Pecan Pie II

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2005
i read that this pie served 8 - so i assumed it would make one pie...not two. i poured the entire batter into one pre-made graham cracker crust pan and it took a long time for the middle to solidify. i ended up keeping it in the oven at a lower temperature for an additional 40 minutes. in the end it came out fine. very rich and very yummy.

Christmas Stollen

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2005
excellent recipe. mine came out incredibly well considering it was my first time dealing with yeast. the only hard part was finding "candied citron". i eventually located them in an imported food store. my husbands family is german and they loved this bread. i'll be making it again next christmas.

a super yummy cake!!!! easy to make- although for me the baking time took longer than suggested. i was searching for a banana bread recipe, but was pleasantly surprised when it came out tasting more like a....cake (as the title suggests). would certainly make this again and again.

Venison Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2003
This is an excellent recipe. My boyfriend wnet hunting and came back with far too much venison to know what to do with. I found this recipes and as soon as I read the ingredients, I knew this was gonna be good. And it was! My boyfriend brought a batch in to work and all his co-workers devoured it immediately. We added extra of the hot spices because we like our chili to have more of a "kick". I will certainly make this recipe again. Friends have already asked for the recipe.
