Big Al's K.C. Bar-B-Q Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
We ran out of our regular bottled sauce & had chicken on the grill! What to do but find this 5-Star recipe on AR. It's wonderful & DH said "what brand is this?" LOL Did not have the molasses, so added extra brown sugar & 1 TB syrup and used enough to baste the chicken. Simmered the rest for an hour or so & made it even better. Thanks Al!!!

Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
Looking for a grilled tenderloin to BBQ without a liquid marinate and tried this one. It's absolutely tender and delicious...So EASY to make with ONLY 5 ingredients which brings out the flavor of the actual pork instead of hiding it!! The tenderloin was a treat, so plan to make it with pork chops. Definitely use a good quality BBQ sauce. We only use Jack Daniel's and when it's on sale, we stock up :) This is on our summer-time grilling menu. TY Cathy...AWESOME!!!

Grill Master Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
OMG! 5-lb wings on sale for $5.00 and while looking for new & different recipes, came across this one. Lucky us :) These are one of the most delicious wings we've ever BBQ'd!! ONLY change, cut the soy sauce in half for the marinating part due to the salt factor and left in bag all day. The marination time is important (at least 5 hours) and "babysat" them on the grill, turning often...WOW!! Thanks PartyFil..THE Grillmaster :)

Amish Slaw

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
I am losing it and thought I rated this last year : ) Have made this at least 40 times since then! This is the non-mayo slaw on our rotation and so delicious with BBQ or just plain old saltines. It is absolutely delicious and stays well in the frig, too. I use sweet onions (Videlias when in season)as well as picking out the red cabbage when using the pre-mix slaw packages to prevent it from turning purple. Red onions have the same affect so definitely use white or yellow.

Sparky's Doggie Treats

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2011
Oh my word! These are so easy to make...subbed wheat flour for the white and let them dry out in the oven for a bit. My "baby" LOVES them. I took the first batch out and she had a couple. She watched the oven until the last batch was finished and she's always next to me anywhere else :)

A Little Bit of Everything

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
We first thought the beer was an odd ingredient, but it must have worked because the steak was SO TENDER...never thought beer, maybe wine! We love to grill and this is now on the summer grilling menu. We used Jack Daniel's Regular BBQ Sauce and A-1 Steak Sauce. The aged balsamic brought out a sweetness, too.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
This was delicious, SIMPLE and tender! We used a boneless pork roast (only change browned pork in a skillet with S & P first) on low then drained root beer sauce (the secret)...Pulled the pork with (2) forks and mixed in Jack Daniel's regular BBQ sauce with a tad of water to simmer for another 1/2 hour. My DH could not guess what it was cooking in all day : ) If it was too sweet like some stated then use a GOOD "hickory" BBQ sauce and not one with Brown Sugar or Honey! The root beer adds the exact amount of "sweet".

Mom's Breakfast Strata

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
We were looking for a breakfast dish using the leftover ham from yesterday and Voila! Prepared & put in frig last night and baked this morning! Very, very good. I was hesitant about a "soggy bread" dish, but WOW! Added a little extra ham & cheese and cooked for about 5 minutes longer and increased temp to 375 for the uncovered baking.
