Avocado Soup with Chicken and Lime

I am a soup lover. I wanted to make avacado soup and thought I would give this one a try. Wow! I didn't use as many jalapeno's as called for and removed the seeds. Glad I did. Three peppers were just about right for us. This is the perfect soup to accompany your Mexican Food dinner. We had a good Mexican beer with our meal and it was perfect.

Twice Baked Potatoes I

This is a excellent recipe! I would recommend using medium sized potatoes unless you are a pro football player or sumo wrestler. Also sprinkle the cheese on top just a couple of minutes before removing potatoes from oven to prevent melted cheese gooing up your oven.

Beef Burgundy III

A delicious recipe! Don't worry if you can't find a burgundy for your dish, cabernet sauvignon or merlots work nicely and also serve nicely as your table wine for the evening. Serve on rice or pasta with some nice french bread and you are ready. MMM! Ambrosia!

Potato Leek Soup I

Mmmm, boy is this good soup. I am a meat and potatoes man and this is a delicious, different way to prepare potatoes. Don't worry about making too much because this soup seems to get better after sitting in the fridge for a while.

Candie's Easy Potato and Onion Dish

This is one of those recipes that keeps ending up on my table just because it's simple, straight forward and delicious. I recommend using red potatoes and do use sweet onions. I like to substitute seasoned salt for regular salt and just a dash of garlic powder. Thanks Candie!

Osso Buco

I love this recipe. I have made it many times. It isn't all that time consuming. If you do your brasing in a crockpot it requires little attention. You'll want to make risotto Milanese to go along with it, and add a robust red wine. Yummy!

Asparagus Ham Dinner

A delicious easy recipe that is indeed a meal in itself. This dish lends itself nicely to experimentation. I added some onion, and jalepeno pepper to the bell pepper and asparagus before sauteing. I left out the ceyenne pepper and used orange and yellow tomatoes for more color.

Easy Chicken Breast

Deliciously simple! This is one of those clever little recipes you use when you have friends over and don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, but still want to impress them with your culinary skills. Play around with different kinds of soup, they all seem to tast great in this dish.

Old-World Cabbage Soup

I enjoyed this 'vegatable' soup very much. The cabbage gave it a bit more unusual (good) taste. As I almost always think, there should be some garlic or better yet, in this case, garlic salt in this recipe. Oh well, you will be glad you prepared this dish!

Baked Halibut Steaks

Now this is the kind of recipe that I like. You, in essence, create a main course and side dish simultaneously. Hence I give it high marks for ease of preperation plus it tastes great. I tried this recipe because it was rated 5 stars and I concur.

I scaled this recipe down for 2 servings. Sometimes this causes some difficulty with some dishes. I am happy to say it wasn't the case this time. This recipe is very straight forward and very tasty. It will make an interesting possibility for Italian night! Great side dish. Thanks Liz L.

Stewed Cabbage

Very nice little dish and easy to repair. You really have to not pay attention to overcook cabbage. I thought the cooking time seemed a bit long but the cabbage was just the way I like it. I would recommend a little more garlic but I think that of nearly every dish. I'll keep this nice little friendly dish.

Sour Cream and Chive Mashed Potatoes

A very good variation on an old standby. This dish tastes excellent as is and lends itself to experimenting by adding garlic, parmesan cheese etc. The dots of green chives added some nice contrast to the white potatoes.

Swordfish a la Siciliana

I really enjoyed this dish. The fish was very tasty and didn't have that 'fishy' taste. We enjoyed our swordfish with a nice Reisling. I would have given this recipe 5 stars if it had explained what to do with the raisins it asked me to soak.

Red Skinned Potato Salad

Five star recipe! Great potato sald and I should know, I'm from Idaho! This should be eaten fresh. Try adding different things like radishes, olives or bits of cheese and see how verstile this salad is!

Baked Pork Chops I

Great recipe. I used a Chardonnay wine in the recipe and discovered that it also went well with the dish as that nights table wine. No complaints about this dish although I did add a little pepper for added zing. You will like these chops!

Granny's Swiss Steak

Oven Baked Potato Wedges

Mmmm. What a great change of pace from french fries! I might suggest adding some salt to the bread crumbs but otherwise this was just a wonderful change of pace from standard mashed potatoes.

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup
