Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
Yumm! I followed another users' suggestion and used a wire rack over a cookie sheet, and baked the wings at 400 degrees for 45 minutes, then sprayed them with vegetable oil on both sides and baked for ten more minutes. On half of the wings I put barbecue sauce for the last ten minutes as well, and they were even better than the plain!

Tater Crisp Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
Delicious and crispy on the outside, still juicy on the inside!!! I needed a way to use a bunch of chicken legs that have been frozen forever and I saw this on the list, and I'm sure glad that I did! Like others, I added in pepper, parmesan cheese, a little bit of cayenne pepper and some garlic powder. I only used about a 1/3 cup butter and it was just enough. 2 cups of potato flakes was way too much, I wasted almost a cup I'd say. Oven at 400 degrees, after 20 minutes I turned the legs and turned oven down to 350 because I was baking mac n cheese too. After 20 minutes, I followed another user's suggestion and I broiled the chicken alone for 5 minutes. Overall cooking time about 50 min.

Half and Halfs

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
Absolutely delicious! Very fluffy, brownie-like texture. Baked at 350 F. 10 minutes, and the insides were fudgy and they were soft cookies. Next batch was for 12 minutes and the outsides got nice and crunchy and the inside was still fudgy and delicious. Used butterscotch morsels, semi-sweet morsels, and white chocolate chips in the chocolate half. Yum!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
Delicious! Added a tablespoon more honey and an extra tablespoon of mayo for the dipping sauce. Marinated for four hours, and then used the George Foreman for about 15 minutes. Everyone in the family loved it!

Fabulous Fajitas

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
Great base! I was worried they wouldn't have enough flavor so i added A LOT of spices. With the chicken: a dash of cayenne pepper, Nature's Seasoning, Seasoned Salt, Garlic Powder, and Italian seasoning. I then pan fried strips of chicken breast in about 2 tablespoons oil. I HATE green peppers, so I omitted them, In a separate pan, I sauteed red pepper, onion, and the mushrooms (I like my mushrooms COOKED through completely), and added garlic powder, taco seasoning, cayenne pepper, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. After frying both pans, I put them together and then rolled them in whole wheat tortillas. Husband said they are in his top 3 of all recipes I've made!!

No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
Delicious! Like others, I cut the butter to 1/2 cup and added a splash of milk. The oatmeal wasn't super soft, but we like a little crunch. I did half milk and half white chocolate in the chocolate and did 3/4 cup peanut butter. Yummmm!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
Really good cookies. (I love anything peanut butter) Verrry buttery. I didn't have shortening so I used a little less than a cup of butter. I think next time, I could definitely get away with less butter. Delicious, soft in the middle, and crunchier on the outside. I think I will double the oats at least--could hardly tell they were there!

Macaroni Egg Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
Great base for a classic macaroni salad. I added dill, along with chopped up dill pickle, which adds a little needed crunch, and it plays off well against the sweetness of the vinegar. Yum!

Lemon Yogurt Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2012
My husband adores lemon or lime flavored baked goods. I have a tremendous chocolate tooth so for me, these were probably a four, just because I'm not the biggest fan of lemon. But he gives them a resounding FIVE, so I'm happy. Like others, I used oil instead of butter and they are super moist and fluffy. I also used the juice of one whole lemon, the zest of that lemon, the juice of a lime and the zest of a lime to give some extra flavoring. Baked for 12 minutes and they were perfect.

Lemon Bread

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
Yumm! My boyfriend likes things super "lemony," so I added the zest of 1 lemon, and used the juice of 1 lemon and 1 lime. Kept everything the same. Fluffy and moist and lemony!

Spaghetti Carbonara II

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
Delicious! I didn't have bacon, so I cubed Polish sausage and fried that, and while that drained on a paper towel, I cooked the onions and then the garlic. I followed the suggestion to put the Parmesan and egg together before pouring it over the hot pasta, and it worked like a charm.

Peanut Butter Mini Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
I followed the suggestion of 1 cup milk, 1/3 cup oil, 1 1/2 cups flour, and also added white chocolate chips, which I thought were even better than having milk chocolate. Had the timer set for 12 minutes, but they were done after about ten, for mini muffins, and for large muffins 15 minutes, at 350 F. Delicious!
