Baked Ziti II

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2007
This was a hit! Made a lot of very delicious food - cheesey and filling, quick and easy! I used a little less ricotta (they only had 16 oz in the store) and added a little more mozzarella on top with the parmesan and it was perfect. Good as leftovers with a little spaghetti sauce on top and great for dinner with some garlic bread and a nice green salad. Yum!

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
WOW! I was really suprised at how good this came out - so much flavor!! I did make a few changes. I used 2 cans of cream of chicken (i hate cream of mushroom), flavored the water to cook the chicken with a bay leaf and some mrs. dash, and added a little montreal chicken seasoning to the soup/sour cream mix. Topped it off with shredded cheddar and seasoned bread crumbs. Yummy! It makes a lot (hubby and I had large helpings and we will eat the leftover for at least two lunches.)

Glazed Apple Cream Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2006
I absolutely love this recipe!! I think the tartness of the apples combines wonderfully with the creamy sweetness of the cream and the glaze is not only delicious, but it makes a beautiful pie! The only thing I ever change is the number of apples that go in - I usually use 3-4 but I like my pie appley. If you have a favorite apple pie recipe, this is going to be different - so be warned that is not your average pie. However, I have never really been a huge fan of the standard apple pie and I will make this one every chance I get (and end up eating most of it myself).

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: May 12, 2004
Yummm! It was a hit! I did follow others suggestions and used 3 eggs. I also let it cook quite a bit longer (I am not wild about the texture of bread pudding). Cooking longer made a nice cruchy top that tasted fabulous. I used yogurt covered raisins for fun (make sure if you cook it longer you nestle the raisins in the bread to insure they don't get burnt.) Recommend with carmel sauce drizzled on top.

Butter Bean Burgers

Reviewed: May 12, 2004
I do not usually like legumes. (I couldn't find butter beans, so I substituted with part navy beans and part kidney beans). This however was fantastic. They did come out a bit messy, sort of a big blob, but they tasted so good, not a single person in the family cared. Served them up plain and they disappeared.

Bierocks (German Meat Turnovers)

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2004
I used reduced fat cresent rolls and also tried some using dinner rolls. Both were great (cresent rolls add more flavor but dinner rolls show off the filling better). Made my house smell great for days!!!
