What is more cathartic at the end of a busy work day than the taste of red wine, the sight of fresh beautiful produce, and the aroma of spices? This experience is second only to actually eating it:)
My favorite things to cook
pasta sauce, filled pasta from scratch, squash dishes, soups, tofu dishes, thai, yummy cookies, nice loaf breads.
My favorite family cooking traditions
pasta, home-made macaroni and cheese, my mom's turkey stuffing even though I don't eat meat anymore.
My cooking triumphs
butternut squash ravioli in a sage butter sauce, chewy chocate chip cookies with almonds and oats, thai peanut noodles, quicky and tasty pomodoro sauce with whatever is available...always seems to taste like I slaved over it.
My cooking tragedies
Hosting a cooking activity program with seniors in a nursing home and accidentally using baking powder instead of flour! LOL. The ladies were so kind about it and laughed. It actually reminded the group of funny cooking disasters they went through when growing up and became a very memorable event for us all:)
