Pirates' Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
This was excellent! My husband and children loved the taste of this dish. I made two changes; instead of golden syrup I use dark brown sugar and instead of pineapple chunks I used crushed pineapple because it was what I had on hand. The leftovers were even tasty!

Garlic and Leek Ditalini

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
So tasty and simple! I happened to have a "leftover" leek and looked up any recipe to use it and came across this one. I had everything but the cream so I used fat free half and half that I had on hand. Delicious! My kids gobbled it up and requested that I make it again as soon as possible.

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2013
I used the recipe "Spaghetti Sauce II" for this recipe and the whole meal was great! My Italian husband, who makes ALL of our sauce and meatballs said he was actually impressed with this meal.

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
Easy and delicious! I made this for Thanksgiving and it got rave reviews. I also made sugared limes to garnish the edge of the pie with the unused Key limes.

Chocolate Bar Fondue

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
Kids and adults loved it. The alcohol is not a factor as it only adds flavor to the chocolate.

Russian Mushroom and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
Excellent "go-to" cool weather soup. I used fat free half and half and celery instead of carrots (what I had) and it was excellent. Second time I'll use carrots just to see the difference in taste. It's gotta be great either way!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
I browned the meat before placing it into my slow cooker but otherwise I changed nothing. This was excellent and full of flavor. You could even serve this over egg noodles to feed more.

Cream Puff Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
Fantastic! Though I would call it more of an "eclair cake". I cut the recipe in half and prepared it in a round 9 1/2" cake pan. I got SO many compliments and was even told by my sister in law that this is her favorite dessert I've made. Even tastes great the next day though the crust is soggy by then.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2012
I didn't change a thing and it was perfect! I received requests to make it again before it was gone...that's how scrumptious this was.

Churros

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2012
I doubled the batch, thank goodness, because everyone couldn't stop eating them! My nephew went on and on about how awesome they were and kept thanking me for making them. I used my Fry Daddy to cook them...very quick and simple.

Marinated Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2012
Wow, this was great! I cooked it in my crockpot as one other cook suggested. I just added some water if the liquid got low.

Pumpkin Puree

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2012
Super easy! I did what one reviewer said; cut it down the middle, put it cut-side down onto a tin foil-lined baking sheet that I sprayed with Pam and roasted it for 1 hour. I stuck a fork in and it came out, just like a sweet potato.

Marbled Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2012
Wow! So easy , so pretty and SO tasty! The only thing I changed was that I used walnuts instead of pecans for the crust. I pulsed the ginger snaps and walnuts together in my food processor for a smooth crumb. And I listened to the others and put that 1 cup of plain mix into the fridge to firm up before swirling in to the pumpkin mixture. It worked like a charm. I also lined the bottom and sides of my springform pan with parchment paper. It made it easy to pull away from the pan and then I peeled off the paper. It looks like a professionally made cheesecake! Excellent recipe!

Chicken and Chinese Vegetable Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2013
I've made this twice now and just love it. It's super easy and very flavorful. The only thing I do different is the veggies I throw in. I like using the pre-sliced "stir-fry" mix and then add in bean sprouts and bamboo shoots. I make a bowl of Jasmine rice on the side and it's a perfect meal.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Perfect summer slaw. I made this every week to go along with something that was being grilled. Easy favorite of my family. Tastes even better if you let it sit for a day.

Turkey Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2013
Easy and delicious! I would do two things different next time: cube my potatoes smaller and add a bit more turkey...just to use more leftovers, not for taste. My husband and kids loved it and it was even better the next day!
