Dog Biscuits I

So easy and my dog loved them. I didn't have wheat germ and used grape nuts cereal instead and it worked! My daughter and I made a batch of them for our family's dogs for Christmas.

This was excellent! My husband and children loved the taste of this dish. I made two changes; instead of golden syrup I use dark brown sugar and instead of pineapple chunks I used crushed pineapple because it was what I had on hand. The leftovers were even tasty!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

I browned the meat before placing it into my slow cooker but otherwise I changed nothing. This was excellent and full of flavor. You could even serve this over egg noodles to feed more.

Russian Mushroom and Potato Soup

Excellent "go-to" cool weather soup. I used fat free half and half and celery instead of carrots (what I had) and it was excellent. Second time I'll use carrots just to see the difference in taste. It's gotta be great either way!

Pierogi (Polish Dumplings)

The dough tasted like I remember my Polish grandmother used to make, however the potato stuffing wasn't quite the way I remembered it though it was quite good. My daughter even said they tasted better than the store bought ones. Very time consuming. My grandmother used to make large ones, so after rolling out and cutting several 3 inch circles I decided to pull individual balls of dough and roll them out separately...this worked great. All in all it's a good recipe...it just needs some tweaking based on individual tastes.

Bumbleberry Pie I

My husband actually requested a bumble berry pie even though we'd never tried one before. It was amazing! I used 3/4 cup of sugar as others had recommended and it was perfect for our taste. I used store bought crusts but made the top a lattice crust and it looked great. I would definitely make this again...super easy!

Guacamole

This was a perfect recipe. I left out the cayenne only because my kids were going to eat it and don't like anything with a kick but I'm sure it would have been the perfect final addition.

Cream Puff Cake

Fantastic! Though I would call it more of an "eclair cake". I cut the recipe in half and prepared it in a round 9 1/2" cake pan. I got SO many compliments and was even told by my sister in law that this is her favorite dessert I've made. Even tastes great the next day though the crust is soggy by then.
