Fresh Strawberry Pie I

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2002
Out of the strawberry pies I've made which called for Jello, this one is the best. Double up on the strawberry gel if you are making two pies.

Pasta Salad II

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2002
We have made this four times now and loved it more each time. However, it didn't go over as well at a function as many people wouldn't even try it because they don't care for olives.

Peanut Blossoms

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2003
Just the recipe I was looking for. These sold out even before the bake sale officially started. We opted for the longer baking time for a more desirable crunch.

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2003
I thought it was good. Probably won't make it again. Rather plain and too sweet.

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2003
Very tasty but not much different than the mashed potatoes I usually serve.

Croutons

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2003
I enjoyed these with a whole wheat bread and just a touch of seasoned salt for extra kick. Actually had eaten half of them alone before I was ready to use them in the dish I had planned for them. Yumm!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2003
This is the only meal we ever remember my six year old asking for seconds. We've made it over and over again. Tasted great with just half the brown sugar. Also appears more appealing to kids with ketchup and sugar on top rather than the bottom. Presentation can mean a lot. Watch out for the ginger as a little goes a long way with the kids(found out once the hard way).

Tuna Noodle Casserole IV

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2003
This was great! I had never made whole wheat croutons before but they were a must for this dish. I usually try the recipe as written at least once but I couldn't help but throw in some peas with onion pearls. Yum!

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2003
This is great and so easy! Second time we made it we were out of green chilis and used chili powder instead. It was still just as delicious. Probably will just use the chili powder from now on. This is my wife's favorite recipe because it is so easy and yummy!

Classic Baked Mostaccioli

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2003
Didn't have Romano but was great with Parmesan instead. Sprinkle a little extra Parmesan on just before serving to kick it up a notch. Great reheated the next day. Truely a quick and easy recipe. Thanks Kraft!

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2003
This was good but probably will not make it again. Certainly very easy to make which is a major plus. Added broccoli during the last two hours which helped kick it up some.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2003
These cookies were just as described. If "big, fat, chewy" is what you are looking for you have found it. However, at 1/4 cup of dough per cookie I don't see how you get 1 1/2 dozen.

Bread Machine Calzone

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2003
This is fantastic, simple Calzone recipe! Works well with any of your favorite fillings (spinach too!). I so thrilled that I can have the same Calzone that I love without driving a couple hours to a place that makes them this good. Besides, I was only able to do that a few times a year now I can have my Calzone anytime!

Fresh Rhubarb Pie

Reviewed: May 23, 2003
The recipe has not failed for me the twenty times I have used it. After awhile I stopped using the butter and I don't miss it at all. The only other thing I have changed recently is sprinkling a little cinnamon sugar on top just before baking.

Rhubarb Crunch

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
I halved the recipe and it tasted great over vanilla ice cream. I did not use all the crumble and ended up wishing I had used even less. Little too buttery for me, so I will cut back on that next time. Definitely a keeper but it won't hurt to do some tweaking.

Chi Chi Dango Mochi

Worked very well. I could not find potato starch so rolled pieces in sweetened coconut flakes. Tried corn starch as a substitute but the coconut flakes were much better.
