About this Cook
I am married with one 8 year old daughter. Me and my husband own a large produce stand for 6 years now. I can and sell Brunswick Stew, BBQ sauces and steak marinde, as well as cakes during holidays. I am very busy cooking these things but I love to cook and am always looking at recipes for dinners and new things to try.
My favorite things to cook
I love pasta and spicy foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When I was little I always watched my grandmother cook and she would let me help some.
My cooking triumphs
I guess I would have to say my brunswick stew. I started cooking this and kept trying to perfect and I finally decided it was good enough to sell at my stand, so I learned to can and put it on the shelf as Cindy's almost famous Brunswick Stew.
My cooking tragedies
Trying to make caramel icing. I have tried for years to get a creamy not grainy, not too sweet and can't seem to perfect it. Once the icing hardened in my new Calaphan pan and my spoon stuck to it and ruined my pan. I will keep on trying!

Jo's Rosemary Bread
This was wonderful. I sub 1/2 cup buttermilk and 1/2 cup 2% milk for the water and set on light setting and when it came out I drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with fresh grated parmesean cheese and fresh grated pepper. My neighbor said it tasted like bread from Maccaroni Grill. Thanks for sharing.

Blueberry French Toast
This did not turn out very good, the bread burnt on the bottom and was soggy on top, but had a good flavor.
