Cake Doughnuts
I am a HUGE doughnut fan but only like cake donuts like these. I made them about 32 yrs ago as a kid and still remember the experience and wanted to bring it to my kids. My sons (4 & 6) kept saying they wanted to go to Dunkin Donuts instead, until we tasted these! Now they asked to make them every weekend! Great texture and flavor and very easy to make. The oil temp is critical and a slight golden color was the best result, although even my brownish ones still tasted good. We bought choc cake frosting and dipped them in sprinkles, which were great. I need to find a recipe for more frosting options, though. Plain with a cup of coffee - I'm addicted! THANK YOU!

Lentil and Sausage Soup
This soup is spectacular! Huge favorite. I've made it twice in 2 weeks. In the summer. In Phoenix! It's THAT good. I tend to overcook mine so it's a little mushy or more like a pea soup texture, which I like. I've also used black lentils with pink lentils for a different texture. I also leave out the pasta. I'm sure it actually adds to the glory, but I can't eat it. The secret is in the seasonings. The author of this recipe is genius and I applaud them! Thank you for making a healthy soup that is easy to make and great tasting!

Vegetarian Kale Soup
This is a new favorite. I turned it into a turkey/kale stew and made some notable changes, but the broth and spices are what made this a huge hit. I added 1# ground turkey and took out the tomatoes and potatoes. Sometimes I remove the beans or reduce them to 1 cup for a lower carb option. This recipe is great because it's so adaptable. I think the veggie bouillon and the Italian seasoning are the secret ingredients. Healthy, high in protein and low in fat. I LOVE THIS!
