Lemon Pound Cake Cookies

Reviewed: May 27, 2014
Absolutely delicious!! Packed with lemon flavor!! I pretty much stayed true to recipe, as a personal preference, I baked at 350* for 10 min. I didn't have any lemon extract so I used 1 fresh lemon. Using the zest of a whole lemon and put that in the dough along with the juice of half the lemon in place of the extract. That made the dough too wet, so I just added a little extra flour until it looked right....about 2-3 Tbls. I also made a lemon drizzle: juice of half of lemon, 1/4 C. powdered sugar, 1/4 C. Heavy whipping cream and 1 Tsp. butter (softened) mixed with electric mixer on high speed to desired consistency. Cake like cookie, melts in your mouth!! Thanks for such a great recipe ;)

Colleen's Potato Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2014
These rolls are very, very good!! I'm giving 4 stars because you don't "need" to wait 8 hours in the fridge. for them to rise. First I cut the recipe in half and it made 16 nice sized rolls. I used my kitchen aid mixer. Mixed water, sugar and yeast until proofed...10 min. then with dough hook attached, added all other ingredients adding flour a cup at a time until blended on slow speed. Then kneaded on a board for appx. 10 min. put in lightly oiled bowl covered with plastic wrap and let rise for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Punched down dough, rolled into log and cut into 16 equal pieces. Rolled into balls, placed on baking sheet, covered with plastic wrap and let rise again for 30-40 min. baked at 350 for 25 min. came out great!!! Will definitely make again, thanks for the recipe :)

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies III

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
Absolutely loved it!!! I did however follow other viewers suggestions and did 1/2 butter and 1/2 butter flavored shortening. I also did all vanilla extract instead of the almond flavor...just personal preference. Result...perfection in flavor, chewiness, and crispness!! Thanks for the recipe :)

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2013
Excellent!! I didn't have any raisins so that will come the next time I make it. The only thing I changed was in the instructions. I mixed the first part exactly as written, the second part after the simmering for 15 or so minutes, I mixed the remaining ingredients all in a measuring cup making sure to beat the egg very well. I then tempered it with the hot by very large spoonful's in measuring cup, then added to pot and cooked for another 5 minutes. NO SCRAMBLED EGGS, simply the best creamiest rice pudding!! Thank you for the recipe.

Kentucky Butter Cake

Reviewed: May 28, 2013
Absolutely delicious!! Didn't change a thing in the recipe ingredients, only change I made was to throw all ingredients at once in my kitchen aid mixer and mixed for the 3 minutes as suggested in the directions. Baked beautifully, oh and I did use pam spray for baking, worked perfectly. Thanks for this wonderful recipe, will be making this a lot. Can't wait to try it with some other flavor extracts as some other viewers have mentioned!! -Denece

Grandma VanDoren's White Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2013
Excellent bread!! I really like that the recipe makes 3 loaves. I make 2 for bread and other one for cinnamon rolls or dinner rolls. Very good taste and texture, perfect for sandwiches. Brushed with a little egg wash for a nice golden shiny look. I no longer buy store bought bread. Thanks for the recipe. -Denece

French Bread Rolls to Die For

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2013
Absolutely delicious!! made exactly per directions, very flavorful. I think I may have let it rise a little too long though as it was a little on the light and airy side. No complaints, my error. I think next time I wont let rise quit as long. I followed directions to the letter, even on rising time and everything. 4-cups flour ect.ect...did the egg wash, they came out looking fantastic!!! Thanks for the recipe, will definitely make again, and again

I followed recipe exactly as written so I could give a "true" review. I absolutely love this bread!! I can only imagine that adding a few different ingredients like raisins would enhance the flavor. But just try it as is, it's truly delicious. Thank you for the recipe

Peppermint Marshmallows

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2012
These are amazing!! I've never made marshmallows before, and these came out great. Like others mentioned, I only used 1tsp. of peppermint extract and they taste wonderful. Also some helpful information, "beating the mixture to fluffy and stiff peaks" it never happened...I have a kitchen Aid mixer and set the timer for 12min. all I got out of the deal was marshmallow cream, so I kept on mixing, and mixing. I never got stiff peaks, however when I decided to move forward anyway and followed the directions to the "T" they came out beautiful!! So easy to make, but don't stress out if you don't get stiff peaks. You can flavor these with any flavor you want, so easy and perfect texture. Thank you for the great recipe!!
