Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Loved this chili! I followed suggestions and omitted the soup, added mexican corn, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and green chiles. I also added a dash of cinnamon and about a Tbls or two of brown sugar. Turned out great!

Stuffed Pepper Soup II

Followed other's suggestions and didn't add the cinnamon and it turned out great!. Add a little sour cream to your bowl if you want a little tanginess. Yumm!

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

You need to make sure to cook the caramel (brown sugar and butter) all the way to carmelization prior to putting it in the pan otherwise it turns out a little crystalized.

Too much oats, it tasted like I was eating a bowl of oatmeal! (FYI-I used quick-oats because that's all I had, maybe that had something to do with it.)

Nana's Apple Crisp

Tasted great! I adjusted the recipe like some others did and sprinkled a little cinnamon and brown sugar on the apples and used a little less than 1 cup sugar in the topping. It turned out great and using a 9x9 pan worked well.

Baby Back Ribs

Worked out great! I put salt, pepper and garlic powder on the ribs before I put the BBQ sauce on and it nice and tasty. I attempted to broil the ribs after it was cooked to make the sauce caramelize a bit, but the sauce and juices started to burn on the opened foil. Next time I'll take the ribs off the foil packet before broiling! Overall this is a great recipe for someone, like me, who has never cooked ribs before.

Pepperoncini Beef

My mom makes this recipe and the whole family loves it. The only difference is that she doesn't use the garlic and takes out the peppers and seeds after the beef is done cooking and saves them for those who want them. We top the sandwich with mozzarella cheese. Also my sister likes to dip her sandwich in bbq sauce.

Chocolate Mint Cookies I

I made these around Christmas and everyone seemed to like them. I used the Andes mints, but ran out and used the Hershey mint minis. They both worked, but the Hershey's looked a little crystalized after they set. I also thought that the cookie would have been better if it wasn't so flat.

Very Berry Cheesecake

I bought a springform pan as a house warming gift and I thought that I should fill it with something. This recipe worked great. The only thing that I changed was to use frozen mixed berries (strawberry, raspberry, blueberry & blackberry). Turned out great and everyone at the party loved it.

Bookbinder's Fabulous Cheesecake

I brought this to work and had a lot of good responses. I ended up using about 1.5 Tbls of lemon juice (about 1/2 a lemon) and enough blueberries to cover the top of the cake instead of the strawberries. I thought the changes worked out great, I might just use 1 Tbls of lemon juice next time though.
