The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2013
This recipe was just what I was looking for! I am not a baker so this was perfect for me. I was doing cut-out cookies for a breast cancer fundraiser. I did follow some of the advice from other reviews. I added 1 cup conf. sugar and increased to vanilla to 2 tsp. I also needed about 1/2 cup extra flour because it was sticky. although my house was pretty warm the day I did this. and kept the dough ib the fridge when I wasn't using it. I had one of those silicone cookie mats that worked awesome!! rolled it right on it then removed the scrapes then baked. Thanks! they turned out fantastic. they were good without frosting/icing but I did you an icing recipe from this site. This is a keeper :)

Bev's Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2013
great easy recipe. I pan seared the chicken first (we like a crispy skin)used salt/pepper/garlic powder/ground ginger on the skin. used fresh orange zest set aside and put on the chicken after I seared it. cut the orange into slices and placed those in the baking dish placed chicken on top added mushrooms 2 cups orange juice and 2 tblsp soy sauce. after it was cooked removed the chicken and added some corn starch to thicken the sauce. served with rice super easy

Pizzelles II

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
great recipe! used the suggestions from other people to sift the flour/baking soda. I also used a plastic bag to squeeze the batter onto the pizzelle iron, (that worked awesome) It made about 50 cookies. I did have to add some water because the batter was really thick. Thanks :)

Fluffy Pancakes

just awesome! thanks for sharing. The best pancakes I have ever made. I have tried every box brand and some homemade and they have always come out "heavy" Used buttermilk because I had some in the fridge but will try the milk/vinegar next time

Shannon's Smoky Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
I LOVED this mac and cheese! so simple and the taste is wonderful. I made this for a neighborhood party and it was the hit of the party. I used everything but the swiss cheese because I didn't have it in the house. I also used more bread crumbs to cover the top. And I added bacon to the mixture. Thanks for the recipe! I will def. be making this again

Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
Loved the recipe! few changes. I added bacon and saved about tbsp of the bacon grease and sauted the onions, garlic and carrots in this until tender then added chopped mushrooms and adobe seasoning until done. set aside then browned the meat. added tbsp worchestershire sauce then the rest of the ingredients plus peas and corn. for the potato topping I made mashed potatos then add 1 egg handful (or 2) cheese plus handful of parm. cheese mix with spoon top meat mixture add cheddar cheese and progresso bread crumbs bake until brown will definately make this again
