Slow Cooker Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2002
This recipe is awesome. I used a jar of store bought sauce plus a can of tomato sauce, plus I added some diced carrots and spinach and a few dry seasonings. I let it cook for six hours and the noodles did come out a LITTLE mushier than I like, so I think I would cut the cook time down a bit, but it was still delicious! My boyfriend loved it and we will be making it again!!

Beef Stroganoff II

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2002
I doubled the recipe and I made the beef in the slow cooker w/ paprika, salt, pepper, dill and a bit of water--then added the mushroom soup, sour cream to taste, more paprika, nutmeg and a little sugar on the stovetop. It came out great and even my two little nieces had second helpings!! Will definitely make this again!

False Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2003
I thought this was very easy and very tasty! I added some worchestershire sauce, basil, seasoned salt and minced garlic for more flavor and served it over rice. I threw everything together in my wok b/c this makes a LOT and u need a very big pot. Great recipe!! Will definitely make again!

Convenient Vegetarian Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2003
This is a very good recipe! Very fast---I made this last night and totally forgot the broccoli (had just green pepper, onion, carrot and mushrooms) and it still came out great! I did not cook the noodles first, but added 45 minutes to the cook time and they came out perfect...Thanks for a wonderful recipe!!!

African Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2003
Love this recipe!!! I omitted the potatoes since I did not have any, but with the garbanzo beans I did not even miss 'em. I also added some shrimp and 1 fresh diced tomato, and dissolved chicken bioullion in the water before adding it. And I only used 1/2 cup of peanut buter. Oh--and I threw in some curry powder too! I think next time I will add some peas and more tomato---there is plenty of room for variation. FABULOUS recipe--Easy, FAST and absolutely delicious!!! Thanks!

Alice's Sour Cream Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2003
This is a good recipe. I actually made this on the stovetop as opposed to the microwave. I simmered the chicken in water w/ bouillon for some added flavor, then threw in some seasoned salt, pepper and paprika with the sour cream and parmesan. I also threw in some peas for color and simmered for about another five minutes. I totally forgot the white wine and it was still really tasty! I served this over rice. This is good for a super fast, super easy, tasty chicken dish. I will make this again. Thanks!

Ginger Beef Curry (Slow Cooker Version)

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2003
This is a good recipe! I did not have any tomato paste so I left that out and put 2 cans of whole tomatoes and it came out great. At first I thought it was "too gingery" but the flavor really grew on me! Leftovers the next day were even better!! Will make again. Thanks for sharing...

Smothered Mexican Lasagna

Reviewed: May 1, 2003
Oh my Goodness!! This recipe is AWESOME! And I don't even really LIKE Mexican food so much...I used half a packet of taco seasoning and added some cumin, chili powder and red and black pepper, with a can of garlic-and-onion-diced-tomatoes, half a can of mushrooms, and the green onions all simmered w/ the ground turkey for about half an hour...I also used enchilada sauce, spooning a little on the bottom of the pan first, then layered as the recipe directed, using cottage chz instead of ricotta, topping off w/ the rest of the enchilada sauce and just a little sprinkling of shredded mozzarella and shredded cheddar. I covered this with foil for most of the bake time, uncovering the last 10 mins...Mmmm! Wonderful! I will definitely be making this again! Thanks for the recipe!! :)

This dip is delicious!! And SO EASY! I made this this weekend for my niece's birthday party and it was a big hit! I used light mayonnaise and garlic parmesan on top. It was gone in minutes and several guests asked for the recipe...I will definitely make this again. :) Thanks!

Kerry's French Toast

Reviewed: May 8, 2003
This recipe inspired a variation: I spread strawberry cream cheese on a slice of bread, then sprinkled with a little cinnamon, then brown sugar, then spread another slice of bread with a little of the cream cheese and formed a sandwich. Then I coated it in an egg/milk mixture and browned it in olive oil! Deeeeeelicious!!! Thanks for the inspiration, Kerry!!! :)

Chicken Alfredo

Reviewed: May 10, 2003
This sauce was excellent! I served it alongside the Cream Cheese Chicken from this site (also an excellent recipe!) so I therefore omitted the chicken this called for. Also I had no broccoli, zucchini or red pepper, so I sauteed some mushrooms and garlic, then added Neufchatel cheese, butter substitute and milk. I also added about a 1/4 cup or so of garlic-flavored grated parmesan! Absolutely delicious and so quick and easy! I will definitely be making this one again...Thanks!

Cream Cheese Chicken

This chicken is WONDERFUL! I rolled it in chopped cashews instead of walnuts. It came out looking very elegant, like something you would order at a restaurant, and it was so quick and EASY! I loved the mix of flavors. My boyfriend was totally impressed!! Will definitely be making this again...Thanks for sharing!

Granny's Cherokee Casserole

Reviewed: May 20, 2003
I really like the mix of flavors and texture in this recipe. Very creamy! I altered the recipe a little...Browned ground turkey w/ seasoned salt, italian spice, cumin and paprika, along w/ the onion and some fresh garlic, and then threw in the tomatoes, cooked rice and soup, letting it simmer for a few minutes, before adding shredded cheddar to melt. I did not bake this in the oven; just did it all on the stovetop. It came out great! Very easy and quick, using simple ingredients. Will make again...

Mmmm---I loved this chicken! I diced it up and used a nice Lambrusco; it was very tasty. I also threw in some raisins while it simmered...It is a sweet dish, but I really liked the blend of flavors. Very quick and easy. Good served over rice. I will definitely make this again! :)

Chicken A La Yummy

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2003
I thought this was a little bland for my taste. I used a Lambrusco to marinate, and used fresh garlic, sauteed, instead of the powder, but still needed more flavor. It was quick and easy, but I probably won't try this again. Sorry...
