About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to feed people, so if a recipe sounds like it will put a smile on someones face or warm their spirit that's a recipe for me. Being from the south I love traditional southern foods, baking and I'm trying to perfect my talents in preparing Oriental foods, love 'em.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to be in the kitchen with my Sis-in-law and her boys it's a fun, and loving memory that always brings a smile to my face.

Chai Tea Mix
Oh my, this is REALLY WONDERFUL!!! I made this recipe as written and took the authors suggestion on spicing it up and it is beyond WONDERFUL! I love Chia tea and you can't find it everywhere especially at work. It is such a nice change from the normal coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Made a double batch that I will give to co-workers for a little Christmas treat. Thanks so much for the recipe, you can bet this is going in my fav recipe box to be used often. Thanks

Boyfriend Brownies
I work for the Air Force, in an office of cooks and it seems we are always eating something. YEA! I decided to have a little fun with our folks with this recipe; so instead of me rating this recipe I made up a rating sheet for all that wanted to have one of the treats; I wanted them to think about what they were eating and to let me know what they thought. I made the recipe as written with only two changes: I added 1 tsp of instand coffee granuals to the batter and I used pecans roasted in the oven with butter and a little Kosher salt instead of walnuts. My folks loved this idea and took it very seriously. So we collectively gave this 4-1/4 stars. Over all they loved the brownies, but thought we should keep looking, after all I am on a quest to find the best brownie recipe in the world. Thanks for giving us an opportunity to try a really good recipe and have a little fun in the process.

Chicken Pot Pie Soup
WOW! Quick and easy comfort food!!! I am a soup lover, my husby not so much. However he really loved this soup/meal. We are both trying to lower our fat and sodium so I made this with chicken stock instead of milk. I also used frozen Chicken Fajita meat instead of plain chicken and didn't add the biscuits 'cause it raises his blood sugar to high. It was still really good and we didn't feel like we had missed out on anything. Will definately make again!!! Thanks for a quick midweek feast.
