About this Cook
My cooking tragedies
I cannot cook rice. I've tried so hard! The only rice I can manage to cook and not ruin is the Boil-in-Bag kind, or Uncle Ben's.

Honey and Rosemary Sweet Potatoes
Made these tonight to go with salmon and rice. I think I ate 1/2 of them while waiting on the rest of dinner to finish cooking! These were so good, and definitely going in the recipe box for a make again!

Triple the Ginger Cookies
If the cookie turns out half as good as the dough (it's chilling now), I will be a very happy camper. I'm having a hard time not nibbling on it. I had to use shortening rather than butter (I was out of butter), baking powder over baking soda (again, out), and increased the salt (to make up for the baking soda). Increased powdered ginger and chopped up a little extra crystallized ginger, and ginger syrup (I had used all my fresh ginger to make the syrup). Anyway, I know the recipe as written tastes wonderful, too!

Creamy Hot Chocolate
Used whole milk rather than water. Also, chopped up some 60% cacao chocolate (not much) to melt in along with the cocoa. Topped it off with homemade whipped cream and some more 60% shavings. Turned out yummy!
