Heavenly Mix

This is Christmas Crack! So delicious it'll turn anyone into an addict. Perfect for munching alone, but also can be put as a topping for ice cream, yogurt & oatmeal. Using a cooking thermometer, make sure to bring butter, sugar, syrup mixture to 233 degrees. For slightly firmer (chewier, caramel-texture): 235-236 degrees. Enjoy!

Creamy Dip for Fruit

Wow, really good!! Creamy, refreshing goodness; great choice over the usual party snacks. I used reduced-fat cream cheese and non-fat milk. Adding a touch more sugar is safe if serving with tart apples. Try putting a dash of cinnamon in a side bowl of it to see if you like that added flavor. Enjoy!

Key Lime Cake III

Try the GLAZE recipe from Key Lime cake II--that was good. Somehow, this was loved by my fiance. He said it tasted like "Fruit Loops." Unfortunately, that was a very accurate description.

Luscious Spinach Artichoke Dip

Fabulous!! We used Parm. cheese instead and one whole brick of cream cheese. Be sure to DRAIN THE SPINACH and rinse the artichokes after removing from can!!

Simple Artichoke Dip

Very tasty. Would add a 1/2-tablespoon of lemon juice, 1/2 tsp. garlic powder, and maybe some Worsteshire sauce. Make sure to rinse the artichoke hearts, otherwise fishy taste occurs. Also, bake a few more minutes for extra golden top.

Strawberry Pretzel Pie

Ladies~ this is the perfect dessert for that special time of the month. It combines sweet and salty beautifully. I highly suggest adding an extra brick of cream cheese & blending the extra sugar to taste. As for the crust, you do want it pretty finley ground and may need to put a bit of extra butter to have it hold together better.

Ranch Oyster Crackers

These are a tasty snack...just be sure to have breath mints and a tall glass of water on hand if you're going to use the specified amount of garlic powder. I felt 1/4 tsp garlic powder was a bit too much--a dash would've sufficed. I used Buttermilk Ranch and omitted the lemon pepper as I had none on hand.

Angel Chicken Pasta

This is the kind of dish you would find in a little cafe in Italy or in a French bistro. You really don't need to change a thing here. This dish is fantasticly flavorful and extremely easy. Don't feel like you must double the sauce as some have suggested; there is enough sauce to coat each serving. If you want a change from the mundane tomato-based sauce, this is for you!!

Vanilla and Chocolate Delight

We love this recipe...I do make mine with a couple of changes. I use 1 & 1/2 cups of flour, only 1/2 cup pecans (otherwise taste is too strong), and 1 stick of butter for the crust...People RAVE about my crust!! Also, be sure to use either Regular or Fat-Free Cool Whip; Don't use the light version as it doesn't remain as fluffy. Go ahead and try this. You'll probably love it!

Ramen Coleslaw

If you're looking for a salad with CRUNCH, look no further. This salad is a refreshing variation of Cole Slaw and Chinese Chicken Salad--2 of my faves. I added diced hothouse cucumbers, instead of the onions. I used both vegetable & sesame oil and used rice wine vineagar. Do double the dressing and you may want to consider using a tbsp. less sugar.

Cake Mix Cookies VII

Is it a brownie? Is it a cookie? It's the best of both worlds!! One of those rare occasions where the first attempt surpassed my expectations... We tried Devil's Food cake w/ White chocolate chips. Using 1/3 cup oil should definately suffice as long as you grease the pan. Try adding 1/4 tsp. vanilla & bake for 10 minutes. Yum, yum. NO cookie dough on hand ~ NO PROBLEM!!

Yogurt Chicken

I had high hopes for this recipe. I marinated the chicken in the yogurt & lemon for several hours like others had stated, used garlic & herb seasoned bread crumbs, and added salt, garlic powder, and pepper. It turned out somewhat bland anyway. I may try it 1 more time with buttermilk instead of yogurt and find better bread crumbs.

Cottage Cheese Roast

Excellent and filling! You may say it's even better than meatloaf, as it lacks that unpleasant after-taste meat can have. I used 2 cups cereal (un-crunched), only 1 tbs. oil, and only 3/4 cups of chopped walnut (to cut out fat). Baked for about 60 minutes. Thank you Mary Ann!!

Awesome!! If you like Rice Kripy treats, these are far BETTER! Once you try these you'll be hooked. I would definately use rice cereal, though I haven't tried Special K. YUMMY!!! An absolute keeper.

Chicken Tacos

I'm very attracted to recipes with unique preparation & ingrediants. So naturally this one caught my eye. The chicken itself was flavorful, but in the tacos it didn't stand out as much due to the other fillings. This recipe is tasty, but needs a little kick to make it stand out more. I didn't use the bay leaves & added more lime juice. To cut out fat, I'll only use 1 tbsp. oil next time. I will also try a more intense, tart lemonade to make the flavor pop. Lastly, I think de-glazing the chicken in the pan would give a more tasty texture.

Mouth-watering, chewy, sweet, and sinful. Once you've tried these, they will always be a temptation. They are the BEST!!! I've been a fan for years now. If you like Rice Krispy Treats, these are far, far better. We make it with 1 cup of both the choclate & butterscotch chips. YOU MUST TRY!

Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

Tastes great, very filling! I added 2 tsp. of sugar. Next time I will decrease the oats to just under a 1/2 cup & add a splash of O.J. for a more dimensional flavor. I have found that adding a Coffee Mate French vanilla (in liquid form) tastes great in smoothies too.

Gooey Butter Cake I

If you are bored with ordinary cake, this one's for you. Five stars all the way!!! My guy's mom has made this for him on every birthday, as per his request. I was ever-so-lucky to have her make it for me too. The secret to our version: "Butter Recipe Yellow" cake mix and use ONLY 1 stick of butter. If you crave chocolate, use "Butter Recipe Chocolate" cake mix. Also, bake time is roughly 30 min., take out while the cake is still jiggly and slightly oozes. ENJOY!!!

Easy Key Lime Pie I

I made this recipe exactly as instructed. I was going to change it the way many have, but squeezing the key limes would have been even more time consuming. I'm so glad I didn't alter anything cuz it's PERFECTION! I can't see why anyone would dislike, maybe they did not use actual "key limes." I had to go to another market to find the real deal. Oh, and be sure to use fresh juice - I'm sure it makes a big difference. Thank you, Pat. A+++++++++
