Soft Molasses Cookies V

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2011
I used fresh shaved ginger instead of ground (didnt have any on hand). The cookies were super moist! (in a good way) and very tangy. I'm a big fan. Will make them again!

Home-Fried Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
Quick and easy! A good basic that you can then mess around with. I will definitely make again and see if I can't spice it up a bit more.

Boneless Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
I used chx tenders and country fried them. I ran out of milk (oops) so doubled up on eggs for battering instead. I must have made 25 tenders for the super bowl- only one left!

Granny's Ice Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
Super tasty! With a tangy-ness to it like those fancy froyo places that are popping up everywhere. I threw in unsweetened baking cocoa and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Made it in a metal mixing bowl and stirred about once every 20min or so. It was gone in 2 days!

Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Blue Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
These were the first to disappear at the super bowl party. I thought I might have over-cooked them a bit but everyone LOVED them. I personally couldn't taste the bluecheese flavor (maybe because my cheese melted out and burnt itself...), but the savory/salty crispy bacon with the sweet date- AWESOME. Next time, I'll try not cooking quite so long...

I added a ton of blue cheese (love it) and extra scallions. DELISH with spicy buffalo wings, celery and carrots.

Spicy Peach-Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
I usually super-coat my pork chops with ginger and add an extra 1/4 tsp of chili paste to give it an extra kick.

Chili I

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
I have made this chili several times to rave reviews from friends. I usually leave out the cubed beef and go with ground turkey instead to try for a healthier take. I've added chopped corn (you can throw the frozen corn right in just do it early so it'll cook), various types of beans, bell peppers- it's always delicious. This is a sweet chili with a hot kick to it. It's definitely unique- and it reminds me of college since it had my 4 food groups from college: sugar, chocolate, coffee and beer!

Rhode Island Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
I made this for my roommate last night and will admit it was my first foray into seafood/chowders. It was super easy to make and VERY tasty. The cayenne/tabasco adds a subtle kick to it. I couldn't get fingerling potatoes so I used red russet ones- diced with the skins on and threw them in the pot with the clams in step 1. They cooked up fine.
