Pizza Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
I changed the recipe by adding pizza sauce instead of just tomato sauce and these still had almost no flavor. I added tons of spices to the mix before I made them and it still didn't taste like much at all. Also, they really don't roll up very well. I just made pockets out of them. This might be good with a lot of tweaking.

Supreme Strawberry Topping

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2004
This sauce was so easy and so good. It was really sweet, but hey, it should be. Be careful about how much you're pureeing. The first time I made it, I pureed a few too many of the berries and it was a bit soupy. (I like a few big strawberry pieces rather than just a sauce.) The next time I didn't puree as a much and it was perfect!

Death by Chocolate

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2004
I made this dessert to take to a church potluck. It went so fast I didn't even have a chance to try it myself! The bowl was scrapped clean and everyone told me it was fantastic. I may have to make it again just to get a taste.

Cherry Dessert

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2004
This was a pretty good dessert, although he really reminded me of a No-Bake cherry cheesecake. I also used less butter and made it in a 9 inch pie plate and it was fine. It may just be my oven, but I would recommend baking the crust a little longer to help it hold together.

Mocha Mudslide Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2004
Very good and rich. They are very cakelike instead of fudgy. I have tried using two eggs instead of three and they are pretty crumbly without the extra egg. If anyone else has any ideas about how to make them a bit more fudgy, they would be about perfect.

Chicago Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2002
I thought there was a little too much onion flavor from the green onions, but overall very good. I've made this twice, once with water chestnuts. They add a really nice crunch!

Basil Pesto Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2002
My family raved about these. I thought they were really easy, especially when I make the pesto ahead of time. I made it with a little less garlic to suit their tastes, but next time I'll definitely use the whole amount.

Linguini with Broccoli and Red Peppers

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2002
The sauce was a little dry, but I liked it that way. I also cut down on some of the oil and butter, to make it a little healthier.

A Marinade To Die For

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2002
I was also a little disappointed. I used it with chicken first and then beef, and they were both very tender, but not very flavorful. I also had problems with the butter hardening. I left it out the second time and I couldn't tell a difference. It also makes it more healthy without butter.

Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2002
I found that it took a lot longer on our grill to get it to the right internal temperature, and the outside was a little crunchy; but inside it was still really juicy and tender! Very good!

Totally Groovy Chocolate Fondue

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2002
I've had chocolate fondue before, but it was with semi-sweet chips. This recipe was so much better, and so much fun with our friends.

Artichoke Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2001
After all the rave reviews, I was a little disappointed. I think it's because I found out I didn't really like marinated artichokes. I also made it with red sacue, as the recipe called for instead of a white sauce like some people suggested. I think that the spinace flavor might have gone better with a white sauce.
