Original Homemade Italian Beef

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
Amazing dish. I added a second jar of peppers the second time I made it because I love the zing they give the beef. I added the peppers in at the beginning though and let them cook all day long with the beef. I I shredded the beef at the end then served with crusty hoagie rolls and a bowl of the juice as au jus. Not too spicy, even for the kids.

Italian Meatballs

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2011
Delicious! I added two eggs so that the meatballs would stick together better. The amount of seasoning is perfect. I did not make as a spaghetti but used the meatballs by themselves in calzones.

Polish Cabbage Noodles

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2010
Tasty! I added some chicken broth after tasting as it seemed a bit bland and it was perfect. Served with Polish sausage and it was a hit!

Ribbon Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2010
I absolutely loved this meatloaf! I don't like traditional meatloaves with ketchup, so this was a refreshing change. The cheese ribbon tasted too much like just bread to me, so next time I will leave it out but the meat was so flavorful and delicious I will keep making it. A keeper for sure. Would have been a five star without the cheese.

Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
This is the best pot pie recipe I have ever tried. I double this recipe and my family of 6 takes care of it all, nearly no left overs. The only change that I have ever made is to reduce the amount of parsley. Three tablespoons seems like WAY too much for me! I have made this with leftover turkey, chicken, roast beef, and am going to try ham next week. Delicious.

Baked Chicken with Apple Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This was pretty good but a little sweet. I will put 1/2 water, 1/2 apple juice next time. The breading on the chicken was also a little goopy. I think next time I will bake uncovered for the last half, or not bread the chicken. Maybe a crumb topping instead of breading would work better.

Easy Cheesy Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2007
This was great! I parboiled the potatoes to cut down on bake time and also added a little bit of fat free sour cream to the cheese soup. I reduced the water by half because the other reviewers mentioned that this could be runny, and I used frozen broccoli instead of fresh (thats all I had). Topped the whole thing with a little shredded cheddar and baked for 30 min or so. I will certainly make this again, as it was a huge hit with the kids.

Cornbread Stuffing With Sausage

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2007
This was really good! I made it for 2 different holiday dinners 5 days apart, and made some revisions the second time around. First time I used a sweet-type boxed cornbread mix, which I didn't like in this dish at all. Next time I just put about 1 cup (whatever I had left over from the first time) of cornbread in and about 9 cups of sourdough bread, crumbled. I left the crumbs a bit bigger the second time around and found the stuffing was much fluffier. I think cubed bread would be the best, rather than crumbs. I will definitely make this next Christmas.
