New Orleans Corn Bisque with Smoked Sausage

It wasn't phenomenal. It wasn't bad. I've had much better corn chowders/bisques before- but I've never made one. Compared to those, this was ok. However, it was very very easy to make and it tasted pretty good - so I gave it 3 stars.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Fantastic AGAIN :D - This was my second time making this recipe - I used a different sized pan but the 300 cooking time for 1 hr worked perfectly for me ( my pans were larger than the 7X3 in the recipe ...mine are...9X5?). Both times I used more cinnamon and a little nutmeg or allspice and cut out a little sugar also- i never have sour cream on hand so I used lo-fat yogurt instead(and reduced serving size to 16 because I only had 3 bananas). Turned out FANTASTIC!

Maple Roast Turkey and Gravy

I brined the turkey before i baked it... but otherwise i followed the recipe fairly closely. (only gave it four stars because if brining directions had been included it would be even better =D) The turkey was very good, flavorful. The gravey was also very good. DO remember the foil...I had forgotten until AFTER the bird had been a bit burned. Still tasted pretty good though =) Would definately recomend this recipe. My other friend made it once and it was FANTASTIC.

Caramel Pecan Cheesecake

This was an OK cheesecake. The aftertaste is a tiny bit eggy- which really isn't my thing. The texture was ok- not very creamy but also not very grainy or dry. The crust wasn't crunchy or crips but it wasn't soggy either- had really nice flavor (had used allspice instead of apple pie spice) This might be because i left out the ground pecans and used instead flour. DEFINATELY DOUBLE FILLING. the end result of doubling is a cheese cake thats roughly 2" thick. Watch the baking time- check it BEFORE the time is up ALSO...may i suggest instead of Ice cream caramel topping.. (which often tastes and looks a bit weak or fake...) use caramel candies, some canned condensed milk, and a little bit of butterscotch liquer- melted in a sauce pan over the stove. The flavor will be much richer, the color more vibrant, and the caramel thicker. I gave it three stars although if I could i would give it 3.5 because it is VERY EASY TO MAKE, but the results are consequently not extraordinary.
