I feel bad for doing it, but I had to deduct two stars from this close-to-great recipe because it's bland as is, and it doesn't have sugar in it! Oh, how tart this would taste without sugar! I had the time, so I threw the tomato sauce/paste in a pot with 1 tsp baking soda to reduce the acid (per another's review), 1 tsp sugar (started with 1/2, but wasn't enough--prolly cause of the baking soda), 3 fresh garlic cloves, 2 tsp of basil, 1/2 tsp onion powder, and only 2 tsp oregano. I replaced the paprika with 1/2 tsp black pepper. I was able to cover 2 - 16in pizzas, and froze the leftovers which will cover 1-2 16in pizzas if I put the sauce on thin.
