Caramelized Onions on the Grill

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
I am in love with these. They turned out great in the oven when I made them. Take about an hour though. Great with steak!

Scotcharoos

These are a staple in my house. Only change I did was use an entire bag of butterscotch chips instead of part of the bag. I feel like it gives it that little extra richness.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
This soup was outstanding. I followed the directions almost to a T. I used a rotisserie chicken to avoid having to bake the chicken and used half and half to cut down on some calories. This was so good. It is VERY thick when you reheat it, so make sure you add some water or milk to it to make it soup again! Highly recommended!!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2011
Great way to make this- super moist and falls apart. Make sure you don't use a pork tenderloin though. It is too lean and turns into rubber.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2011
All I can say is Wow. Chicken Cordon Bleu is my favorite meal and also a favorite of my husband's. I saw this recipe and thought it would be nice to try something just a tad different. I am so glad that I did. The only changes I made was that I used Panko Breadcrumbs instead of flour to make it a little more crispy and replace 1/2 cup of wine with 1/2 cup of chicken broth since my husband can't take a chance of having any alcohol in his system for work. I was told that I was not able to make this any other way than this way any more.

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

Reviewed: May 20, 2011
Great crust! I started making this and realized that I was out of eggs, so I substituted the eggs for lowfat buttermilk. It made it a different consistency (more crumbly) but turned out great!

Homemade Peanut Butter Cups

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2011
They were good- the texture threw me off though. They weren't as creamy as I would like them. They were too gritty for my liking, but still good. Will try altering the amount of graham crackers next time.

Simple Hamburger Stroganoff

Best recipe I have found for Hamburger Stroganoff. I make this about once a month and just love it. It makes great leftovers. My 18 month old just loves it too!
