Apple Butter Pork Loin

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2006
This was perfect. I added another 1.5lb pork loin and doubled the sauce. Once the pork was finished cooking I took about 3 cups of sauce and added 4T of flour and brought to a boil on the stove for gravy. It was awesome. I have a family of 6 with 4 kids 7 - 11, and they all loved it. I served with homemade mashed potatoes, steamed asparagus with a homemade cheese sauce. Perfect family dinner. Thanks! By the way, my son Justin wanted to say thanks!

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2005
Very tasty. I didn't use the mushrooms (we don't like them). I used Tyson frozen chicken breasts (the kind in the bag). I browned the chicken in the bacon grease for about 20 minutes total. Baked for 30 minutes. I used minced onion and it seemed to be a little much, will cut back or omit completely next time.

Chili I

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2005
This is outstanding. I didn't have any coriander and I don't think it really mattered. My 4 kids (6,7,9,10)all love this. My husband wants to invite all of his friends over for it! I only used 2 cans of kidney beans and I think it was plenty. Also, I just used 2lbs ground beef and no sirloin. This will make anyone look they can cook. Thanks Bob!!

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2005
This was good, however, I think adding a jar of salsa and using this as a dip for tortilla chips vs. a burrito filler would be better.

Seven Layer Dip I

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2005
I have made this several times and it is always a hit. I mix the sourcream with a packet of taco seasoning mix for more flavor.

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2005
Excellent sauce. I did not use the chicken portion of this recipe. Instead, I sauteed some shrimp in olive oil and garlic and threw them in the sauce for the last 10 minutes. I also added green and orange bell pepper to the sauce right at the beginning. The shrimp and peppers were a great addition!

Outstanding. Couldn't find pinapple preserves so I used some crushed pineapple instead. Worked out great!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2004
Wonderful soup! My husband LOVED it and he is not a huge soup fan. Will use fresh broccoli next time. My 2 children, 8 & 5, loved it as well. Served with slices of Tomato Basil bread for dipping!

Cheese and Broccoli Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2003
Not as good as I anticipated. The flour/butter paste was more like flour/butter course crumbs. The soup didn't thicken very well at all. I didn't like the chicken in the soup. Prep time was more like 25min not 10min. Definitely not something to cook during the week. Bottom line - there are better recipes that take less time. Sorry.

Drip Beef Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2003
Fabulous! Very, very tender. I used two 2.5lb boneless chuck roasts. I omitted the rosemary and bay leaf...served on french rolls with swiss cheese dipped in the au jus. Better than any other!!

Pickle Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2003
These are very tasty. I dried the pickles off with a papertowel before rolling to get them to stick better. I might try to sprinkle some ground red pepper on the cream cheese next time for some kick.

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2003
Great flavor, although my tortillas turned to mush. It almost seemed like we were eating tacos with no shell - all meat. I might try to double up the tortillas next time. I will make this again, but I will work on the tortillas.

Husband's Delight

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2003
Great potential. I did what another reviewer suggested and I made taco seasoned ground beef. I also added some frozen corn in with the tomatoes and simmered for 12min. I don't know if my measurements were off a little, but next time I won't use as many noodles. Overall, very tasty.

Beef Ball

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2003
This was great, I even left out the horseradish. I didn't think it was too salty at all, however I thought the recipe calls for too much beef. Overall, best cheeseball I have ever had. :)

Beef and Biscuit

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2003
I have made this several times. This last time I used an 8oz bottle of taco sauce (medium) instead of the tomato sauce. I used cheddar cheese vs. the monterey jack. I ommitted the egg. Very tasty.

Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2003
I made this with egg noodles on the side. The gravy was definitely better over the chops vs. the noodles. I still think it was missing something. I will keep working with this one!

Mexican Rice

Great! Variations: I omitted the saffron. I used small can of diced green chilies instead of green peppers. Used only 1 can of tomato sauce. Turned out great. I served this with Tacos and mexican corn cake.

Wonderful! I sliced some onion and added to the Worcestershire sauce. I also sprinkled chicken breast with Emeril's Essence seasoning before adding to the sauce. I will surely serve this to guests. Delicious!

Salsa Chicken

Very good. For as simple as this recipe is, I was quite impressed with the taste! I used Pace Thick and Chunky Mild Salsa. I had to scrape off the "chunks" for my kids - they loved it!
