Ricotta Tart

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2012
This was an excellent recipe. I had some leftover ham that I needed to use, which I spread approximately 1/2 C over the bottom of the pie crust. I also added a few shakes of red pepper flakes to the cheese mixture and omitted the salsa. I doubled the recipe which fit nicely into a 9 in pie plate. I love quiche, but hubby hates swiss cheese. This is a wonderful alternative.

Cupcake Brownies

Reviewed: May 8, 2012
I made these cupcakes last night. I added an additional 5 minutes baking time, they were very soft. 5 minutes more and they were perfect. I frosted with raspberry butter cream frosting. Very good, I will make this recipe again.

Refreshing Limoncello Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2012
Great recipe. the only change I made was with the glaze. I used 4 Tbsp of Limoncello. I thought it was too thick to spread on a hot cake. Turned out perfectly.

Simple and Delicious Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2012
I followed the directions for this frosting exactly, until the very last and I added Hershey's Dark Cocoa. The frosting by itself is REALLY sweet, by adding the bitterness of the powdered cocoa, it cuts the sweetness and is an awesome frosting!!! Thanks Denise for sharing this recipe with us.

Next-Best-Thing-To-Robert-Redford Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
I've been making this dessert for 30 years. We called it "Better than sex cake". Or when the kiddies were little, it was "Better than you know what cake". My Aunt gave me the recipe, now my daughter and neices and nephews make it and now it's back to being better than you know what cake when we serve it to my grandkids:) Now that my friends, is how you tell a great recipe!

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2012
I loved the recipe, I just had problems with the cream cheese melting, 20 minutes was NOT enough to cool down the cake. Fortunately, I checked You Tube and watched a demo and her directions were so much clearer. I used this recipe and You Tube's directions and my second, third and fourth tries were successful. I made it to take to dinners and everyone loved it. My daughter ate a whole roll herself while home over the Christmas Holiday.

Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2012
The cupcakes were very good. The only thing I changed was the cooking time. In my oven, cupcakes take 15 minutes. Ovens vary, so I suppose 20-25 minutes could be the correct time for her oven. But, they were perfect for me in 15. I liked the frosting also. Good recipe, thanks!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
This dip is fantastic! Easy and delicious. The only thing I change is, I use Texas Pete wing sauce. I take it to work once in a while and my boss loves it. If there is any left over, he always asks if he can take it home!

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2013
This is hands down the best chocolate cake recipe I've made. I use Hershey's Dark Cocoa in it and it's great in 9X13, layer or cupcakes. It's absolutely to die for w/peanut butter icing! Thanks Marsha for sharing.

Sicilian Ricotta Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2014
I did make some changes, but only because of personal taste. I didn't add the cinnamon and I used lemon zest instead of the orange. I skipped the vanilla and used limoncello instead. All in all a good cheesecake.

Stuffed Zucchini

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2014
I liked it. the only thing I did not include in this dish were the seeds. I did not cook the sausage, nor did I pre cook the zucchini. I packed the sausage in the zucchini like meat loaf and baked it for an hour. My Zucchini were not large, probably 3 inches in diameter and 8 inches long. Good as is. I think I'll try it in a crock pot next time. Thanks for the recipe.
