Spider Cupcakes

What an absolute fun recipe for kids. We used M&Ms for eyes because we couldnt find red hots anywhere! We also used twizzlers twist and pull for the legs. The autumn colored M&Ms available now are great for this recipe.

Maple Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2007
This is a yummy recipe. I didnt have maple syrup but I did have a butter pecan syrup. I used only 2/3 cup of that because I was worried about it being too sweet. I also only used about 1/4 c. butter for the topping. Overall though this is a nice change from the average apple crisp. Its a keeper here. Great for fall.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2007
These muffins are the bomb! I followed some of the other reviewers suggestions and used oil instead of butter in the batter. These are soooooo yummy. I think its probably the best tasting muffin I have ever had.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2007
OOOps! I forgot baking soda! These turned out great without it... I think. The family loved them anyways. I increased the cinnamon/sugar mixture to 3 and the 8 minute rule worked great here. My cookies were puffy too! Next time I will remember the baking soda though!

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2007
Ok peeps, heres what you do if you do use a tube pan instead of a Bundt. I dont have a Bundt pan so I lined the bottom of my tube pan with foil and then added the middle insert. I had no mess this way. I sprayed with nonstick spray. Used 2 cans of Grands Biscuits. Cut the dough with a pizza cutter. I used butter instead of margarine and added vanilla. This is a very good recipe but rich! Adding it to our breakfast rotation! Thank you.

Chewy Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies

Absolutely delish. The boys here approve! I did take out 1-2 mins before they were done and let them sit before transferring. Definite keeper in the cookie rotation!

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
My family wants soft cookies so I tried this recipe. The taste overall is pretty good and I added butterscotch chips to the dough as well. However maybe I should have removed them from the oven sooner or maybe its my oven I dont know but they werent soft. They were right out of the oven but as soon as they cooled down they werent soft anymroe. They do make a great crisp cookie but they didnt stay soft which was dissapointing.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
This was excellent. I cooked it 10 hours on low and then shredded it and added BBQ sauce and then cooked on high for an hour. Another great recipe to keep in the meal rotation. If only every recipe was this easy!

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2007
Ok next time I will try this with day old bread instead. I purchased fresh and used that. Secondly since it puffs up and the caramel sauce gets bubbly in the oven it bubbled over somewhat and so make sure you have a cookie sheet or aluminum foil under the pan to catch the drippings. I did try it with less liquid. I used 6 eggs and only 1 cup of milk. It was still more like bread pudding than standard french toast. I think to get the best results you need to have day old bread! My bread was too fresh.

Barbecue Beef Cups

These were pretty good and easy to make. I used the Grands biscuits but next time I think I will try crescent dough. This could be pretty versatile as it sounds good with taco meat and cheese as well.

JIF® Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies

The cookies dont look done after 7-8 minutes but take them out anyways. These are good cookies but not a sweet cookie like I thought they would be. I love the chewy texture though!

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2007
This was a great recipe! Everyone here thought it was delish. It is definitely more cakey which is great but if you want something in a bar form then this recipe isnt for you. I used a sheet pan and I was lazy so I used a can of cream cheese frosting instead of making the actual frosting. Next time though I definitely want to try the real frosting! THANKS!!!

Instead of adding shredded cheese I add a bag of cheese crumbles instead. Then there are tiny little bites of cheese in every bite almost!

French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2006
This was really good! I ended up using worcestershire sauce instead of beef boullion because I forgot to buy some. I also used less rosemary and thyme. I made the sandwiches and then broiled with provolone cheese as others suggested. It really is a good french dip recipe! Even my kids liked it!
