About this Cook
It's kind of hard to pin me down because I enjoy doing a lot. I'm a college student going into nursing and currently I'm getting my CNA certification. So how to feed this starving child? Lookin up recipes on AR of course! Recently discovered my love for creating dishes, playing with textures, flavors, smell etc. Food is so fascinating, it's just like chemistry!
My favorite things to cook
Asian food, baked goods, chicken, Mexican (or for my case, Mexican-inspired food), ANYTHING with chocolate
My favorite family cooking traditions
Veggie scallops. I was raised on this stuff and I plan to make it the same way 80 years from now.
My cooking triumphs
My first really positive feedback after using the "Too Much Chocolate Cake" recipe and recipient said that was the best cake she's ever had. Pretty much any time someone loves my cooking
My cooking tragedies
Too many to count! One I will never forget: I cooked with a 5 year old Hamburger Helper knock-off box of stroganoff. Worst idea ever.

Fudgy Chocolate Cream Pie
This pie is AWESOME!! Yes, that's right 2 exclamation marks worthy! I'm typing this as I sit with a post eating 1/4 of pie tummy ache. Did not change a thing. Perfect chocolatiness, texture, taste, help up nicely. Topped this fudgey goodness with the Meringue II recipe from this site The meringue didn't stick too well, but who cares the pie was excellent with or without the topping. I'm a very green chef and I find this hard to mess up. Cooked the chocolate custard for about 8 minutes and it was thick and left it a little longer just to be sure (even though I was aiming for 15 min as another reviewer suggested, but I don't think that was necessary).

Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookie
My GOD these are addicting! Filled them into a tablespoon for 'portion control'. Yeah right. Instead of eating 1 or 2 cookies I'm eating 1, 2... 6... then you know it's all bad when my mom has to close the lid so I don't eat more. Followed the recipe exactly (except for sugar free choco chips) and with my tablespoon scoops yielded a little over 3 dozen cookies. It's a hit in my family. My dad bit into it and the first thing he said was "mmmmm... mocha!" followed by grabbing a few more. Okay so see a pattern?

Coco-Scotcheroo Cookies
Well, learned my mom does NOT like butterscotch... but everyone else in my house loved it! My mom had to stop my dad from having too many. He liked the idea she didn't like it so there's more for him. Score 1 for dad! However, the great thing about this recipe is that butterscotch can easily replaced with chocolate chips. Score 1 for mom! Sorry dad.
