Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2014
I made this for a ''Birthday Dinner''... It looked yummy and it was.. My guests all raved about the ''pretzel crust''... It is time consuming, I took some other reviewers advise and let the crust really cool, then the cream cheese layer stayed in the refrig for about 45 min.. I also made the Jello mixture, adding fresh sliced strawberries, and let that cool in the refrig until it jelled.. Make sure you ''seal'' the cream cheese mixture all the way to the edges... I had a few pieces leftover, it stayed crunchy for several days! I will definitely make this again!

This is my recipe... If you like Walnuts in your Pumpkin bread, add them after all ingredients are mixed.. about 1 Cup will do it!

Smothered Tilapia

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2013
This was Delicious.. I followed the recipe to a 'T', then I sprinkled a very small amount of 'dried Basil' on top of the Tomatoes, (Lemon slices on top too!) then into the oven for 20 min.. Great Flavor, Tilapia was moist & flakey....all the seasonings were not over-powering... Will make this again, it's a KEEPER!! I changed the recipe to ''1 Serving'' ... FANTASTIC!!!

Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2013
These are soooo easy to make and come out so ''tender''... I didn't have minced garlic, just sprinkled garlic powder over the ribs with some Salt & Pepper & cooked for 8 hours...they came out great.. I'll be making these again soon.. I used to boil ribs first, now no need.. Easy!!

BBQ NY Strip

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2013
I made this yesterday for Easter. I got lots of ''RAVES'' from my Guests..I didn't have any Minced Garlic so I used 1/8th cup of Garlic Powder instead & followed the rest of the recipe to a ''T'' ..It was FABULOUS! Grilled it 7 min. on each side.. PERFECT! I did as one reviewer said and marinated ''frozen'' steaks in the refrigerator overnight...I was amazed how everyone ate a ''Huge'' steak, a big baked Russet potato, plus veggies and still had room for Strawberry Cheesecake.. Will definitely use this marinade over and over...it's a KEEPER!!

Buttermilk Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2013
I've been making this recipe for years.. the only difference is I add the buttermilk after the Jello is dissolved in the pan, then put the saucepan in the refrigerator for about 45 minutes to thicken, then fold in the Cool Whip...then into a pyrex bowl, covered, to set for 4 hours in the refrigerator.. It depends on the ''season'' as to what flavor Jello I use. At Thanksgiving or Christmas, I'll use 'Cranberry' flavor...It's always a great salad & goes quickly. Yummmy!

Oil Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
Adding 'oil' instead of butter works better for a flakey crust.. I changed the amount of 'flour' (unsifted) to 2 Cups, and increased the 'oil' to 2/3 Cup. for a double crust pie..then brushed the top with milk and sprinkled with sugar... VOILA, a nice golden top!! Great crust for any pie!

German Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
I've made this twice, & it's 'goof proof'..I even e-mailed it to my Daughter.. It's a great 'comfort' food in the Winter. Didn't change anything to the recipe, goes with any 'main course'..
