Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2013
Leave out the milk because it gets pretty runny, but the flavor is perfect!

Texas Slaw

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2013
I was looking for a spicy coleslaw and sadly this missed the mark. Just tastes like ranch and jalapenos- a spicy, soggy salad.

Greek Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2012
Definitely add more lemon zest and lemon juice. I also used cream cheese frosting with lemon juice added. The cake is really delicious, but not super sweet or lemony as-is. With about a Tbsp of zest and juice of one lemon, and some richer frosting, it's great.

Sangria a la Las Vegas Round Up 2011

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
Perfect sangria! This adds just enough fruit, so it still tastes like wine (some sangria recipes are almost fruit punch!) Although, I did cut down the brandy down to 1 cup. It's still pretty potent.

Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
Wonderful! If you have fresh bread, cut it up and bake it on cookie sheets at about 200 degrees until it dries out. It will absorb the egg mixture better. Also, spread the cream cheese on the bread before assembling. Its MUCH easier than trying to cube the cream cheese and it disperses more evenly.

Creamy Mexican Salsa Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
Cut down the cumin by about 1/2 and add a few dashes of hot sauce. It's better with chips than veggies, but either way it's very tasty!

Breakfast Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
I don't even like bacon and thought these were amazing! Especially when they are still warm. I used maple bacon, and by the time I was done my whole house smelled amazing. The recipe, as is, will make 12 large cookies, but I would recommend making them smaller to snack on. Also, they only need 10-12 minutes at the most.
