Sesame Udon Noodles

too oily in the mouth and too much sesame oil - but the flavor was amazing! i plan on using it to marinade steaks.

the vinegar was a bit too assertive @ 1/3c; i also added a bit of oil as i wanted it to have a touch more body (didnt measure it)

you need to know that if you change the scale of the recipe, the directions are messed up (which is why it pays to leave amounts OUT of the directions!)

i made the white cake version - it tasted too much like the shortening i used; maybe if you did half shortening/half butter or used teh butter shortening, but i am not happy with the flavor at all...

something's off with the sugar - recipe calls for 1/2c sugar which in step 2 is supposed to be added to the flour; and then you're supposed to cream sugar and shortening together. but you've already put the sugar into the flour -- so i dont know where the error is
