Very versatile eater married a Brit with Celiac. No gluten. How challenging is this?! Anyway, I'm a stout gal - this will be fun! The baking absolutely not as good gluten free - not much change in the remainder.
My favorite things to cook
Spanish/Latin foods/Seafood. Trying to really back of meat and fried in general. The butter STAYS!
Both over 40 and boy - the ol' body just doesn't like certain things anymore. Again, I love a challenge. I'm working on sauces now!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family and holidays are empanadas, tamales (sweet and savory both)etc., hubbies boxing day is fish fish fish and plum puddings, lovely trifles and the best teas available. Everyone is an equal opportunity eater - meat, fish, poultry, etc. It's all good!
My cooking triumphs
My Russian sister in law taught me Russian peasant food, my grandmother taught me Mayan traditional dishes, I took classes in Thai cooking, and my German ex-husband's mother taught me Pennsyvania Dutch cooking. All have been filtered-tweaked-and part of my repetoire. C:
