Chicken Breasts in Caper Cream Sauce

This was fantastic. For seasoning, all I had was lemon dill and garlic powder and that was perfect. For the sauce, I would suggest using a whole cup of whipping cream and we even added a touch of flour to thicken it. If your thinking of skipping the capers, I wouldn't! They added a really nice savoury side to things, even my wife loved it and she was apprehensive about the capers. Oh and I added fresh sauteed mushrooms to the sauce - just a personal preference. This is a great recipe!

Rum Balls

This was really good and really easy! I've never made rum balls before so I didn't realize there are so many different recipes out there. These are nice and rich, exactly what I was looking for. They've now been in my fridge for 2 days and I'll be bringing them to a party tomorrow night. I didn't put them on wax paper or in a bag with icing sugar, I just rolled them up and then dipped half in coconut and half in cocoa (next time I'll coat a third in icing sugar to give people even more variety.) No fuss, no mess, no baking and you only use the stove for 5 minutes. Thanks a lot for this recipe!

Filet Mignon with Bacon Cream Sauce

This was amazing. Like others, we found it needed a bit more cream for the sauce and we only used 3 shallots. The sauce was more of a topping, but paired perfectly with the beef. Added some buttered carrots, asparagus and Pinot Noir. It was even better than most restaurant steaks I've had.

I thought this was great. Easy to prepare and pretty straightforward. Next time I would remove some of the butter before adding cream, or maybe just cook with 4 tbsp instead of 6.

Creamy Lemon Squares

this was easy and came out perfect. next time i might double the zest to 2 tbsp at the least. keep in mind that following the recipe will give you a light dessert, if you want more pow just add from there. also, the wafers took forever to crush properly. next time i might try it with shortbread - or graham crumbs.
