Crescent Wrapped Mummy Dogs

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
These were so fun to make and SOOOO yummy to eat. My oldest had a great time making these. We used 100% Beef hotdogs...which makes them jucier and yummier! What a fantastic idea for a quick and easy Halloween meal before trucking off for Trick-or-Treating! Definitely a yearly tradition for us! Thanks for the recipe!

Witches Fingers

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
Ok, so I didn't do the recipe at all...but at least I'm not one of those people who are going to change the recipe completely and give it a bad rating! Instead of the cookie mix, I used breadsticks for this and dipped them in garlic, parmesan, butter. I'm only writing this review because I thought the concept of these were so creative and loved the idea!!! Thanks so much!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
These cookies are great in taste and just the right consistency! I love a soft sugar cookie! My kids loved them and it was so easy to throw together...although I forgot how much I hate working with sugar cookie mix. Even after chilling overnight, you have to work so fast so it doesn't get sticky. Frustrating...but worth the effort for the kids! This is a definite keeper and my go-to recipe for sugar cookies from now on!

Decorator Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
This was a very yummy frosting! My kids had a great time using it for their cookies. It not as stiff as I would have liked it to be, so I just added a little more confectioners sugar to it. Stacked great for storage too! Definitely a keeper!

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
By far the best porkchop I have EVER EVER tasted! I am not a huge pork fan and have steered away from porkchops most of my life...but these were AMAZING! They smelled absolutely heavenly while cooking and we all couldn't wait to eat at dinner time! When it was time to serve them, they fell right off the bone! Could barely scoop them out of the crock pot without them falling apart! My father-in-law and fiance raved over these porkchops forever...saying that they were the best they have ever tasted as well! I cut slices into the raw chop and sprinkled with garlic powder, salt, and pepper and pan fried for a few minutes on each side in a tablespoon of vegetable oil to just brown and get some flavor in the chop. I also did add a little Italian Seasoning instead of just Oregano, as well as a bit of onion powder to the liquid mixture. We saved the juice that the chops cooked in and froze it because it was so good we couldn't just trash it...will probably try and experiment with it cooking something else...or just maybe add it to the mix next time we cook chops. Will definitely be making these again...in the very NEAR future!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2011
OMGoodness! I marinated and wrapped the 2 chickens overnight so I could throw them in the oven the next evening...I don't know if the mainating time made a difference or not, but these were absolutely heavenly! Everything about this chicken was great! I did, however, add some poultry seasoning to the recipe when I made the rub...

Ice Cream Sandwich Desserts

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
This is absolutely AMAZING! The best dessert recipe EVER! I put a layer of sandwiches in a 9x13 pan, a layer of melted chunky peanut butter, a layer of half tub whip cream mixed w/ 1/2 packet dry chocolate pudding mix, sprinkled crumbled peanut butter cups, drizzled hot fudge and caramel sauce, another layer of ice cream sandwiches, spread the other half of the tub of whip cream, and sprinkled remaining peanut butter cups! Freeze, eat, enjoy! DELICIOUS! This recipe will be used over and over and stored as a family favorite!

Chicken Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2011
As I sit here eating the leftovers for lunch I can honestly say that this recipe is absolutely AMAZING!...with a few things to make it my own. My fiance loves this...and this is not the kind of thing he would normally eat. I use 2 frozen pie crusts, 2.5 cups of frozen mixed vegetables (boiled 5 minutes), 5-6 small pieces of frozen boneless/skinless chicken (boiled), 1 can of cream of chicken soup, 1 can of cream of cheese soup (fiance's request...which I was a little hesitant about...but was a great addition!), onion powder, garlic powder, 1/2 tsp thyme (can be overpowering if add more), poultry seasoning, splash of italian seasoning, and shredded cheese to sprinkle on top. I use little heart shapped cookie cutters (corny but "cute" so my fiance says)to cut out in top shell and then place the cut outs slightly over their holes to allow for the steam to escape. I brush egg on the bottom shell and the top shell to help brown and crisp, cover edges with foil for first 30 minutes of cooking at 400 degrees and remove foil to cook for another 30 minutes..and it's PERFECT! Probably my favorite recipe on here so far!!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
These were absolutely great! Can't go wrong with a chocolate peanut butter combination! I used a large muffin tin for these and the normal sized peanut butter cups and it worked well. I just filled the muffin tin cups about halfway and pushed the pushed the peanut butter cups in as soon as they came out of the oven. I would definitely freeze the cups before trying to push them in so they're not so mushy...I forgot this step and was in a hurry, but still turned out great!

Mint Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
This was really yummy and pretty easy to make...just have to work quick before things start to cool and harden. My sister-in-law said it tasted just like a peppermint patty. She loved it! I halved everything for the chocolate layers to make 2 separate. The bottom layer was chocolate. The middle was the white almond bark with a couple drops of green food coloring in it. I just swirled the color in with a toothpick. The top layer was chocolate as well. Makes for a nice presentation!

Garlic Bubble Ring

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2011
What can I say?...Absolutely AMAZING! This bread was so good, we couldn't stop eating it...even after we were stuffed! Previous reviews were right, it does make a lot a butter sauce, but I used the extra to baste as it cooked. I thawed 2 loaves, so I baked one as a whole loaf and basted the entire outside of the bread before placing in the pan, as well as basted this one as it cooked. I had to cover with foil towards the end of the baking time to keep it from getting too dark, but that's typical when baking bread or anything with a crust. This was a complete hit in our household, and probably the easiest, yummiest thing I've ever made! Can't wait to make more! And can't wait to post the picture I have of my wonderful bread!

PB&J Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2011
I made these for my kids over the weekend and unfortunately while cooking a million other things at once, forgot they were in the oven! They turned out a little darker than I would have liked, but still tasted great! My 6 year old does not like them, just a taste preference, but they were a hit with everyone else! Will definitely make again...keeping a closer eye on them :) **UPDATE - My 6 year old decided to give these another try once they were refrigerated. They're a hit!! I decided to take advice from other reviews and try these after refrigerating...I have to say myself that these were quite better this way!
