Chocolate Puffed Wheat Squares

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
Great taste to the recipe, however, I only used 5 cups of puffed wheat and then added overflowing 1/2c brown sugar, 3/4c corn syrup,1/2c butter, 1.5 tsp of vanilla, 2tbsp of cocoa. It is much better with excess sauce rather than being too dry. If you still want moist squares using 8cups of puffed wheat, I would at least double or double plus half of the sauce to make them really sticky and yum!

These were fabulous! Presented so nicely and were such a hit at a dinner party I took them too! The freeze really well also, which is a bonus. I changed the 2cups of graham crackers for 1c, and added 1c of quick oats instead!YUM!

Better Than Sex Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
I gave this 3 stars, cause it was tasty but so unbelievably sweet! The condensed milk puts it over the top. I would omit the condensed milk next time...

Russian Beet and Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2011
Made it a bit different: Used 2 med onions 3-4 polish pickles 1/4 cup of olive oil 2-3 tblsp of mayo 1lb of sauerkraut 3 large beets 7 small potatoes 4 large carrots salt to taste Boil veggies all together without peeling until cooked, you may have to remove the carrots and potatoes before the beets as they take longer. meanwhile sautee chopped onion with a tsp of butter, chop pickles and add sauerkraut to bowl. When veggies are done, peel and chop(dice), add mayo, salt to taste and olive oil. mix all together! Divine!Make a huge amount of salad, good for potlucks, parties etc.

Fabulously delicious.Great taste and texture, super soft. Also good when you don't roll them in the sugar at the end and just leave them plain!
