About this Cook
I am a total beginner, 33 yrs old and never really expressed an interest in cooking until recently. Newly married and wanting to provide some yummy, but healthy meals for my husband and I.
My favorite things to cook
chicken, shrimp, yummy desserts!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother's raviolis My mom's spaghetti and meatballs ...have yet to make these, but hope to in the future.
My cooking triumphs
Chocolate Peanut Butter bars-awesome, and so easy stuffed mushrooms (so little effort for so many thank yous at the office). Chicken Valentin (with baby asparagus spears) -YUM
My cooking tragedies
I used refrigerated pie crust that had apparently been in the freezer for too long, as it would not cook. I kept try to cook and cook a cheesecake and it just wasn't happening. Finally just said "screw it", flipped the thing upside down onto a cookie sheet and hit broil. Not my proudest moment. The end result closely resembled a charred cow patty.

Nutella(R) Cheesecake
Ok, I made this (without the sugar) with a regular pie crust and wasnt too impressed. Decided to change it up a bit the second time. -took pre-made refrigerated pie crust and separated into 4 mini "pies", and placed in large muffin sized pan. -sprinkled crushed hazelnuts and milk chocolate chips in the bottom of each cup -made the cream cheese/nutella mixture as called for with about 1/3 of sugar listed -added 1/2 bag of milk chocolate chips and more hazelnuts to the mixture -added an egg -baked muffin tin first in oven for about 8 min -added filling, baked for additional 30 min -after these cooled and set, removed from muffin tin and had the cutest little mini cheesecakes! -topped with vanilla frosting and sprinkled with a few leftover chocolate chips -guests LOVED them. :)

Pizza Pinwheels
Made these for my niece and nephews one Friday night. They loved them, made one batch with pizza sauce, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese and another batch with ham, cheddar, and just brushed olive oil and sprinkles garlic salt on the dough before rolling. There are so many flavors you could do for a party, separate batches.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms
Yum! These are so popular at parties and at my work. Just modified slightly based on other reviews. Added bread crumbs before baking for added crunch, also added sausage crumbles to the sauteed mushroom stems as well as chopped scallions. Sooo good.
