Nanna's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
Good recipe, soft bread, not too sweet, I did not have buttermilk so used 1/2 cup regular milk with one tsp of white vinegar added to it. Will be making this recipe again.

This was an easy dough to make, turned out doughy and hard, heavy not flaky at all. Will not be making again.

Carolyn's Orange Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2011
My bread machine broke and hate working the dough with my hands. This recipe takes some time but if you don't want to kneed its pretty good. I did have to add one cup of flour without it the dough would be way too sticky. Made 24 good size rolls in cupcake pans did one pan orange and the other cinnamon both were good and light, its a preference thing.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2011
Tasty truffle easy to make dipping is a little tricky. I used white chocolate melts not a big fan of dark chocolate. There was a bit of pieces of cookie in the truffles but they were still good just gave a bit of crunch is all. Made these twice, big hit no leftovers.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
Yummy soft cookie, easy recipe to follow and everyone loved them. The cookies keep, and freeze well. The only change I made was to use pumpkin pie spice instead of cloves did not have any. Thanks for the recipe will be making again.

Kristin's Fudgy Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
I followed the recipe as written, no substitutions or additions. The brownie had a strange texture, not really a brownie or a cake some where in the middle very airy and somewhat chewy. Don't get me wrong it was good, will get eaten, even better with some icing on top. I just don't think I would make again.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
Good base for banana bread but I mashed the banana no offense but to slice them as the recipe called for they would be brown blobs of banana in just a few hours. Don't really want to bite into brown banana mush.

Banana Oatmeal Cookies II

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
Added chocolate chips and left out cloves don't really like cloves except lol, with ham. The cookies were very bananaish my new word, chewy and soft not bad if you like banana. Did have to add a bit more flour about 1/2 cup dough looked a bit too wet, after I flattened them. Did not taste like a muffin top more like a banana flavored oatmeal cookie. Don't know if I would make again but it was something different :)

Earthquake Cake I

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
Yummy, tasty cake very moist, liked the icing too. The only change I made was to add one egg to the cream cheese mixture because I was worried the cake would be to mushy without it. Glad I did cake held up well and was able to cut it into small squares. Really good.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars IV

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2011
Good recipe, easy to make. The only change I made was to add a few tbsp of shortening to the melted chocolate so it would be easier to cut when set. Really liked the bars very tasty.

Applesauce Oatmeal Cookies

Nice soft cookie, did make certain changes, used 1 cup Splenda instead of sugar, 1 tsp of baking soda, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1tbsp of molasses. Baked at 350 for 12 min. Yummy, soft, chewy cookie.

Chinese Restaurant Almond Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
Needed to make changes to recipe, after reading reviews it was obvious that the dough was going to be too dry. So I was careful not to add all the flour and at 2 1/4 cups it started to get crumbly. Did use 3 tsp of almond extract as well. Baked with egg wash on top it also helped hold the almond in place and gave the cookie a more traditional appearance, kept in oven for 20 min till light golden brown. With all the recommended changes it was a nice Chinese cookie.

Swedish Sticky Chocolate Cake (Kladdkaka)

Fast to make a real sugar fix for sure, turned out just as described a bit like brownies but much sweeter than the average one. Buttery, not too chocolaty and soft, yum, could eat the entire pan :)

Caramel Filled Chocolate Cookies

Cookie tasted ok but the dough was dry and crumbly but still spread to much in the pan, made a mess so just put the candy on top of the cookie half way threw the baking process.

Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies II

Was a nice soft cookie, spread a little too much had to add extra flour. Was not too fussed on the glaze just melted chocolate over the cherry would have been better and easier.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
Was o.k not enough caramel to coat the popcorn properly, when baked in the oven makes the caramel hard like dry sugary fudge . Tried this recipe twice to give it a fair try, threw most of it in the garbage kids not impressed. Too much work not worth the money in ingredients.

Empire Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
I double the recipe, and used a piece of towel dried maraschino cherry for the top did not want to buy or spend money on candy cherries. The cookies were awesome, not too sweet even with the sugar glaze, my favorite cookie to eat so far. If your not a big chocolate fan try these so yummy.
