J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2013
These were outstanding! Not too salty at all unsure of what previous posters may have done but they had an amazing light and crispy texture with no excessive salty taste. I added a bit more sugar as we like a sweeter biscuit and a bit of grated cheddar, these will be our new go to for biscuits.

Pumpkin Bars I

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2011
these are good, but the pan size stated is far too big for these bars. So unless you want a bar/cake that is an inch high, use a 9x9 pan.

These were fabulous just as written. I had no pecan so used walnuts. Will add these to my stash for sure.

Susan's Butter Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2011
I have yet to make this cake but i surely intend to, my commeng is on the comments. if you cannot be decent do not lreave comments, no one is interested if you fed it to your squirrels, and us ladies do need the fat in some cases and do not need to "lighten up". Be objective, do not be petty, can't wait to try this and it will get a fair respectful review.

Beef Nacho Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2011
Fantastic! This was a quick and delicious meal. I used miracle whip, but just less than called for and it was just a slightly sweet taste that we loved. I used frozen corn as that is all i had and it was great. I paired this with cornmeal muffins. definitely will make again :)

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
I was looking for a recipe like this one, so many peanut butter cookie recipes taste like health food gone wrong. They are meant to be sweet!!! They are cookies!!! I did only add 3/4 c butter, but did not change another thing, fabulous!!

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2011
This ended up ok, but it took several of the suggested changes to make it good. Use half and half and coconut milk, this recipe really makes enough for 2 pies, also you don't need that much coconut, 3/4 c is plenty. Do not use frozen whipped cream that is just criminal. And whatever you do DO NOT TRY THIS CUSTARD IN THE MICROWAVE!! this came out a soupy mess which never firmed, i had to pour it into a pot and re-start all over again and then it firmed, also use corn starch. don't know if i will try this one again.

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
These were quite good and easy to make. i did not refrigerate them for 4 hours, who has time for that? I just stuck them in the freezer as suggested maybe 30 min and they were fine to work with and came out perfect. Only complaint is they are just not chocolaty enough for me, maybe using choc chips would have added more flavor. Hubby loves them so they are a keeper anyhow.

Rhubarb Bread I

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
Will not make again, followed advice added more rhubarb, it cooked for well over an hour still a sloppy, gooey mess. Lightly greasing the pan does not cut it, only half the loaf came out, waste of time, money and rhubarb.

Monster Cookies I

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
I am sorry I did not like this recipe at all, it basically was one entire cookie filling the whole cookie sheet. There is no flour in the recipe maybe that is why. They are tasty but not what I consider a cookie.
