Best Brownies
This recipe did not turn out at all. For some reason they were all buttery to the point where they lift little spots of butter on the plate underneath them. I have no idea what happened as I followed the recipe to a T. Half a cup of butter seems like way too much for the sugar and flour ratio... I used a smaller pan but that shouldn't have made the difference between the best brownies ever and these ones, which were the worst.

Catherine's Sirloin Tip Roast
This method made my roast very flavourful. After I thought it was "done" my boyfriend wanted it done a bit more since it was still pretty red in the middle. I put it in for another 15 minutes and it was completely brown in the middle. It was firm, and slightly overcooked, but I attribute that to the cut itself. It may have been freezerburned. But regardless of all that, it was still very tasty because of the garlic cloves and salt and pepper. Had it with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. And it was just as good the next day. Anyone who complains about this recipe needs to get their head checked--beef can be pretty temperamental to cook. Great recipe, and thanks for sharing!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes
These are the best pancakes I have EVER made from scratch, period. This recipe rules. I always used to have a problem with over-stirring the batter and so they would end up tough and they wouldn't rise in the pan. But I think the secret here is the baking powder The batter almost doubled in the bowl like a sponge the last time I made it! Though just give it a few stirs and it turns into a liquid again so you can still pour it into the pan. They ALWAYS turn out SO FLUFFY! It's almost unbelievable. This recipe is perfect and pretty much impossible to screw up. I added chocolate chips last time and they were awesome! Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe. It will go into my recipe box as a staple for sure.
