Slow Cooker Sweet and Tangy Chicken

The dry chicken my be my fault but the taste ugh..I tried the Sweet Baby Ray sauce and no, I don't get it. I am so sad because there were so many raving reviews. Sorry but this is coming out of my recipe box...gotta go make another dinner.

Beer Butt Chicken

Finger licking goodness. It was fun to make was a conversation starter when my brother and his girlfriend came over and saw the chicken with a can of beer up the butt :o)

Blue Cranberry Sauce

I have made this two years in a row for Thanksgiving and it is a hit. The kids love it. Leftovers a great with chicken port and just plan good from the container alone. Freeze what is left over in single servings. Great to add to a quick meal to make is seem fancy 2005 update... year three. I am making a double batch this year for Thanksgiving. Instead of fresh blueberries I have purchsed a package of Dole frozen mixed berries. This is a little less expensive and the different berries add something extra special. Looks like we may get snowed in this year so I will have it all to myslef :o)

Rustic Slow Cooker Stew

Well this is a good base. I changed the herbs up a bit. I used 1/2 tsp thyme and 1/2 tsp rosemary. The rosemary went well with the wine. I added a more veggies(mushrooms and green beans). It tasted good day one but as with all stews and soups and such you need one good day for the flavors to meld together. I froze over half the recipe and gave some to my brother he loved it. Reheats nicely

No Bakes

I was so sad when I lost my mum's recipe for no-bakes.... They were my brother's favorite cookie and he was down in the dumps so I wanted to cheer him up and with a treat so I started my search and ended up with this recipe and I have to say I am so happy I lost my orginal recipe. These are the best....better then mom's...sorry mom. My first batch I think I boiled a little too long so they had trouble setting but I was not going to waste any of the yummy goodness so I put them in the fridge and they set up perfectly melt in your mouth goodness!!! Many thanks

Tofu Jerky II

I was shocked. This actually tasted really good!!! I am on a low carb diet so I used low carb, maple syrup, brown sugar and barbeque sauce and it turned out great. I think the next time I make this I will add a little hot sauce to give it a kick!!!
