Paleo Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2012
We made this for breakfast. Perfect!! Hearty, moist, and tasty. I added an extra bannana and a handful of quinoa flour . I love that it's low in fat, high in protein, and has no sugar. Everyone loves it!

Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2012
I made this recipe and followed it except for the fact that i mashed the banana that this called for and added it to the cream mixture and then sliced 1 banana and arranged it over the bottom of the crust. i baked it only for ten minutes because i didn't want the top to get a crust over it. When it came out I topped it using the recipe for meringue that was included in the recipe for banana cream pie V from this same site. I than chilled it for 3 hours and when i sliced it it was soup! So I tried it again this time adding 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, adding an extra egg yolk, mashing 1 banana, and slicing the rest. Than I cooked it for 15 minutes, (it did get a slight crust) and refrigerated for at least 3 hrs, topped it with meringue, cooked the meringue with a blowtorch, and it was fantastic!

Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
This came out really good. Although I did make some adjustments. I used 3/4 cups of sugar in the batter instead of 1 and i just sprinkled a little on the top instead of a whole 1/4 cup. And instead of pouring all the batter under the peaches i did half under them and half over them. My whole family really liked this.Oh and i used fresh peaches instead of canned ones.

Apple Dumplings III

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
My whole family LOVED this recipe. It came out really good. I followed the recipe except when it came to the sugar. I didn't use as much as the recipe said, and I'm glad I didn't because it would of been too sweet. I used the Pie Crust IV recipe which is also on this site. So simple but it was sooo good!

Hot Water Cornbread

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2011
Good recipe. We had it as a side to a bowl of simple brown rice and kidney beans. Because of previous reviews i decided to increse the serving size to more then i needed. I increased it to 20 and i ended up with 16. It would not form "little cakes" so i just dropped it in the oil right off a spoon. I was also out of salt so i just used the sugar and i spread salted butter on the top, and they came out very good. Even my little sister who will eat almost nothing except pizza liked them! Oh and i used butter instead of shortening.
