Fish Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2011
I thought this was really good and will use the stuffing recipe for other meats as well. The only thing different I did was added some minced green bell pepper and garlic instead of the powder. My fillets were too small to roll up so I did as others suggested and put 4 fillets in the bottom of the dish then the stuffing then another layer of fish.

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
Really enjoyed this but wish I wouldn't have cooked the entire 10 minutes and it was a little too buttery and I love butter. I like how the garlic was nicely roasted and crunchy at the end. Yummy - thanks.

Tasty Baked Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
Amazing! We loved these - the only thing I did differently than the recipe was added minced onion and used about 1/2 pound sausage to finish up the entire amount of meat needed. Served over mashed potatoes and brown gravy, pan fried asparagus and hawaiian rolls. I used an ice cream scoop to help me keep the meatballs all about the same size. I cooked 16 and froze 16.

Best Cream of Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2011
Loved this. The only thing different that I did was: left out the Allspice because I didn't have any and added cheese near the end because we love cheese. Excellent recipe that I will certainly make many more times. Thanks Kevin!

Crispy Fish

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2011
Loved this! I also dipped my cod in egg before the coating. Beautiful and so yummy! Next time I will add more cayenne pepper for a little more kick. I have saved the rest of the coating to use at a later time for something else. We had homemade fries and coleslaw with our cod and it was a restauraunt quality meal for sure. Reminded us of food from San Fransisco's Fisherman's wharf vendors.

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2011
I really enjoyed this - of course, I altered it a little. I added garlic and doubled the vegetables and used fresh basil. I also added almost a whole can of cream of mushroom soup in the last 10 minutes or so. I didn't have veg broth so I used all chicken (some homemade, some in the carton). I didn't pre cook the chicken. I just cubed it and threw it in the pot with everything else and cooked it all together. Yummy.

Tomato Soup I

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2011
I liked this a lot but my husband just said it was ok. Picky men...my kids weren't home to give me their opinion. I agree with other posters - this only makes enough to feed 4 - not sure how much one would serve to get 11 servings out of this. Thanks for the recipe!

Men Love This Steak

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
This was amazing. We increased the mushrooms, peppers and added onions. I also increased the worchestershire and dijon a little bit as well. Served with grilled asparagus and baked potatoes. What a hearty meal - definitely worth making again!

Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
Anything with potatoes, onions and cream soups I love! I thought it was a little thick so next time I will add some milk just to make it a little more moist.

Savory Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
These were awesome and I loved the dill on top instead of the eye sore of paprika. I just cut up the fresh dill and sprinkled on top. I will defintely make these again and again.

Unbelievably Good Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
I only used half a can of the milk because it seemed to get really sweet, really fast. I added a splash of vanilla as well. I mixed a lot of fruits (apples, strawberries, cantalope, grapes, etc) and put in the smaller fluted solo cups and let everyone spoon the dip into their cup. It was like a parfait. Very yummy and easy as an appetizer. Just grab a cup and spoon on how ever much dip you want. It was a little thin but after being refridgerated over night it was a perfect consistancy.

Cucumber Sandwiches III

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
These were really good and I did add dill to the mixture as well as sprinkled it on top - the only thing I didn't like was that as they sat out on the table (on a hot summer day - but was inside) the mixture melted and when you took a bite it often fell off in a gloop on your plate. Next time I will make and then stick in the fridge until the very last minute.

California Avocado Salsa

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
This was great - all my guests raved about it. I didn't have limes so I used a fresh lemon for the juice, and just cut a lemon in half and squeezed the juice into the bowl. And, the fresh cilantro was really yummy. The only other thing I did differently was that I bought a package of the mini sweet peppers - that had red, orange and yellow peppers in it and I used one of each of those. My family is already asking for it again. Thanks Mary!

Double Decker Tacos

Reviewed: May 14, 2011
I made this exactly as the recipe stated and they were amazing. Next time I will tweak some things but this was delicious and we all filled ours with our own selection of toppings. I can speak for all the mothers of teenage boys when I say this fills them up faster than normal tacos. My son was so excited that I was making a Taco Bell food that he actually helped me make them - that is a first, but hopefully a start to him being interested in cooking. My husband said they were just tacos with a tortilla on it - but he is hard to please so he doesn't count. Enjoy this great recipe!
