Chicken Stew with Dumplings

Although this was a bit bland, the dumplings were to die for. Next time I will use fresh herbs to add more robust flavor. It’s very healthy as is. The best apart about this recipe is that it can feed a large number of meals on just chicken thighs which are very cheap at Coscto. A definite keeper and low cost recipe without feeling or tasting like it.

Pasta with Tuna, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Artichoke Hearts, Lemon, and White Wine

I don’t think this was anything worth keeping. I made with chicken. I would imagine it would be terrible with tuna. This recipe is too much work that doesn’t pay off at the end. Not a keeper.

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Excellent and easy way to cook filets! Any novice or beginner can make this at home. Don't be intimidated - it's so easy. My advice is to make sure to watch it to cook until your desired level of doneness such as rare, medium, etc..

Spinach and Mushroom Casserole

this was very good. I used a small dash only of salt and it was fine. I also omitted butter and did a light drizzle of olive oil instead. I don't think this dish needs any butter anyway due to getting enough oil from the melted cheese. If you LOVE onions to death like I do plus are a spinach fan then you should be amazed at how great this tastes. I really took a bite of it and said out loud, "this is good!" great recipe -- the flavor beats your expectations because it was just too easy!

Banana Crumb Muffins

these muffins are the best and my booyfriend gives me great complimnents saying these are the best muffins or baked goods that I make! This recipe is a keeper for life especially since it has such basic ingredients in your cabinet. amazing!

Molasses Cookies

these are good cookies! I made with pomegrante molasses so they came out incredibly dark, almost burned color with the cooked sugar on top but these are still incredible cookies.

Chocolate Marshmallow Icing

Sorry but this is nothing but a sugar bomb. mallow fluff is all sugar itself then adding regular cane sugar on top of it made this grossly sweet and over powers cupcakes or a cake. I threw it all in the trash and made regular choc frosting. Too much work boiling, temperature checking, melting, stirring etc.. for a terrible result. A full waste of ingredients.

Lentils and Rice with Fried Onions (Mujadarrah)

It was good but I love onions to death so anything with onions is fine with me. It was a bit bland though so for next time I will increase the onions, cumin and maybe add garlic and tomatoes for some coolness and flavor.

Chicken and Red Wine Sauce

Truly awful and gross tasting. I'd given it zero stars if I could. I used scant sugar since all others said it was too sweet and it was still straight to the trashcan. This is NOT coq au vin so don't waste your time and be fooled by the positive reviews here. This is truly the worst recipe I ever made from this site!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

I didn’t deep fry these. I only flash fried them then baked. I cut down on the better and used Franks Red Hot Sauce. AMAZING. I won't buy fatty wings from pizza joints anymore when they are this easy to make yourself. Even better, you are capable of lightening them up by baking and reducing the amount of butter without sacrificing the taste and experience of buffalo wings. A keeper recipe and repeat!

Ancho Chile Fettuccini with Cilantro-Tomatillo Cream Sauce

In my opinion: This sounds better than the end result. I didn't care for this enough past 2 stars. Italian (pasta) and Mexican cuisines do not combine and merge very well to tasteful results. The sauce by itself is wonderful over chicken like another reviewer said but I would not advise using the sauce over pasta. Perhaps over shrimp and orzo instead would taste better? I did not make the past in the recipe but used a store bought fresh version. I don’t think that makes any difference to the taste anyway. I thought it was bland and needed lots of salt and pepper. I feel as though this was a waste of tomatillos even though it is super easy. For a good tomatillo and cilantro recipe search for Tomatillo Soup by Holly on this website.

Strawberry Cinnamon Oatmeal Muffins

Very good. I used a whole pint of berries becasue I thought one-half according to the recipe would be inadequate. Final muffins tasted very strawberry for me. I had high quality farmer market berries. Make sure your berries are the best they can be!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Extremely disappointing cookies. There is no way you can read all 2ooo+ reviews but most seemed so positive that I thought I couldn't go wrong. Well, I was! I will never make again and they don't have a buttery sweet taste like a gooey choc chip should have -- they instead taste like a chewy Chips Ahoy cookie, which is gross. A fake tasting cookie and if you are a cookie connoisseur then stay away from this recipe – a waste of ingredients.
