Luscious Spinach Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
Served this at a Christmas party w/ simple tortilla chips & it was great...I even doubled the recipe & it was still almost gone when the party was over. Definitely serve/keep it warm.

Grilled Salmon Kyoto

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
I loved this salmon recipe. I did not have fresh ginger on hand, so I used powdered: It worked well (use less of it though). I will definitely make this recipe again.

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
Of course this was awesome! How could it not be w/ all of those Tex-Mex ingredients put into one dish? ;) I would make no changes/additions to this recipe b/c it's perfect as is.

Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
These were pretty good...Almost everyone liked them. I added a bit of wochestershire sauce & a dab of relish for a little more oomph. I thought they were good and will continue to use this as a base recipe.

Special Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
There was nothing wrong with these...Some people liked them, others did not depending on who liked the horseradish taste. I think I'll keep looking though for something that would please everyone.

Fruited Curry Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
Awesome flavor combo!!! I forgot to add the onions, and it was still one of the best chicken salads I've ever had. Great for a potluck, picnic, bridal/baby shower, or to make on Sunday for your lunches throughout the week.

Chocolate Chip Pie IV

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
My husband and I found this to be way too sweet and not what we had in mind. I had a chocolate chip pie served to me about a year ago that was wonderful, and I've been on a mission since to recreate the recipe. This wasn't it. If I made this recipe again, I would use less white sugar, add in some brown, and use more flour.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
The sauce was easy and had a great flavor. Next time, I'll use diced tomatoes vs. whole b/c they don't simmer long enough for the whole to break down to edible pieces. I also added 9 garlic cloves since my husband and I love garlic and oregano along with the basil. Regarding the meatballs, I will bake them next time before adding them to the sauce mixture to reduce fat (they were too squishy). Otherwise, this is an easy recipe w/ great flavor.

Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2005
An easy, slightly healthy recipe. I used breasts and cooked in on the lowest setting for about 8 hours (while I was at work). It turned out a little more potent and heavy than a usual cacciatore would be, but we'll make it again in when the weather turns colder.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2005
I really like the base for this recipe...It's easy, flavorful, and tender. My husband and I did find it a bit on the salty side, but I could always add a potato to the pot to remedy that next time. And definitely serve with crusty bread for the juice left over. Great with roasted carrots and homestyle green beans.

Halibut with Garlic Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2005
My husband really enjoyed this because there was a lot of garlic. (He LOVES anything with a lot of garlic.) But I found that the cornmeal gets mushy when you add the "sauce." I do agree that the sauce isn't sauce...It's quite liquidy. The flavor was alright, but the texture was not appetising. Subtitutions: orange roughy instead of halibut, left out the bay leaf, added Old Bay seasoning to fish and extra garlic to liquid, used olive instead of sunflower seed oil

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2005
A basic, good chili - I added some cajun seasoning and a different kind of bean (can't remember which kind). My husband and I both liked it, even though the tomato sauce flavor doesn't truly go away.

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2005
Growing up in Texas, I'm picky about my Mexican food. This recipe seemed easy, so I tried it. It was easy, but the flavor was overwhelming of tomato. The only substitutions I made were using an already roasted chicken from the grocery store and adding more garlic. If you're looking for quick, this one is okay. Otherwise, try another recipe.

Aunt Carol's Spinach and Fish Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2005
An interesting and different way to cook white fish. I used tilapia and, like everyone else, added a few things. I put a tsp of apple cider vinegar in the spinach mixture since I felt it need more moisture. Also, I top the fish w/ Old Bay and roasted garlic pieces. I also used a mix of sharp and irish cheddar since I ran out of the former. I will definitely make this again...Easy and tasteful.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2005
Besides adding garlic, I followed the recipe exactly. The "sauce" came out runny, and the meat was greasy.
