Deer Jerky

This is absolutely the best deer jerky ever! I have experimented with it a I usually do a double batch, I have sometimes not doubled the ketchup but instead added the extra Tbsp using BBQ sauce instead. Also I have tried different varieties liquid smoke, mesquite and hickory, we like the hickory the best. Also I slice the meat while partially frozen, makes it much easier to slice, and I do it in a dehydrator.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

This recipe deserves WAY more than 5 stars! I have made this almost weekly since finding the recipe and everyone loves it! Followed reciped with these changes...used about a 2 1/2lb piece of chuck roast, let cook overnight in morning shredded beef then put broth in fridge. When returning home from work took out broth skimmed any fat returned it to crock adding the beef and heated about 2 hrs on low......DELICIOUS! My sister begged for the recipe ... she added noodles and veggies to her leftover broth and remaining meat after making sandwiches one day and had a very good soup! Thanks for sharing such a great recipe!

Sour Cream Coffee Cake

This is an excellent simple coffee cake I have been making for years after finding the recipe in a Taste of Home magazine. The batter is very thick and I've found it easier to just put all of the batter in the pan spread all of the topping over the top and then just swirl thru the batter. Works great for me!

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

Made these today and they are great! Used a heart cutter and red sugar for Valentine's Day but I'm sure they won't last! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the dough was rock hard after letting it chill in fridge overnite, almost had to chisel it out of bowl. After sitting at room temp though it did roll out nicely. Cut them a little thick, brushed with egg white and sprinkled with sugar. Definately will use this instead of my regular sugar cookie recipe
