What HUGE tasty biscuits these are! I pulsed the dry ingredients and shortening in my food processor, then transferred to a bowl and added the full cup of milk (next time I will only use 3/4 cup) mixed it together, put it on a lightly floured counter and kneeded it about 6 turns (something I have NEVER done with biscuits because it usually makes them tough!) I then put the dough back in the bowl, covered it and put it in the fridge for 2 hours. I got six large biscuits out of this recipe, that rose higher than any biscuit of mine has ever risen!!! I was astonished when I opened the oven door!! Thanks JP for a biscuit recipe I will use many times over!
