Buffalo Chicken Wings I

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2003
Awesome! You don't have to go out for wings when you have this recipe. I used the "coating" mixture from the "Restaurant Style Chicken Wings" off this web site and deep fried them, then used the sauce from this site. They are delectable!!

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2006
I live in Canada and am not familiar with the taste of the famous KK doughnut...nevertheless this recipe is AMAZING!!! I used my bread machine to make the dough, and it turned out perfectly. I did not experience ANY of the problems that seem to persist in other reviews. The only change I made in the glaze was in replacing some of the water with extra vanilla. These are high quality...I only wish my camera was working so I could take a picture:)

Dash's Donair

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2006
As a born and bred Maritimer, I'm most impressed!!! This worked perfectly without any changes. For those having problems with the sauce, try adding the vinegar stiring only once or twice then letting it sit for a few minutes. I found the sauce thickened perfectly doing it this way. My kitchen smelled like the best donair shop in Halifax last night...thanks Dash!!!

Chicken Tikka Masala

I can't imagine giving this just 5 stars! One of the best recipes I've tried from this site. I wouldn't change a thing, except the amount of salt used...followed the rest of the measurements and directions to a T and received RAVE reviews from everyone at the table!

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2006
Delicious! I didn't have canned chili peppers so I threw in some green pepper and some canned jalepenos. This added the little kick of heat I was looking for! I also added about a 1/2 tsp of brown sugar at the end, which brings out the flavours even better. Can't wait for my hubby to try this...I know he's going to love it. Thanks D!

Honey Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2006
This is a keeper. I had to make a few changes based on what I had on hand. I used apple cider instead of the pineapple juice and i used stone ground whole wheat flour instead of all purpose. After I let the mixture sit for the required 3 hours i had to add more apple cider because th ewhole wheat flour is more dense. These turned out with just the right moistness and flavour. i made jumbo muffins and the recipe yielded 20 muffins. Thanks for a great recipe!

Baked Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2006
I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I didn't have any dry mustard on hand so I used dijon. I also used this with 8 thin pork chops and the sauce amount was perfect. It thickened beautifully. I served the chops with, and drizzled the sauce over, roasted garlic mashed potatoes. Good comfort food!!

Enjoyed this as lunch today. The secret is to make your own hummus, otherwise I think it would only be mediocre.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2003
What HUGE tasty biscuits these are! I pulsed the dry ingredients and shortening in my food processor, then transferred to a bowl and added the full cup of milk (next time I will only use 3/4 cup) mixed it together, put it on a lightly floured counter and kneeded it about 6 turns (something I have NEVER done with biscuits because it usually makes them tough!) I then put the dough back in the bowl, covered it and put it in the fridge for 2 hours. I got six large biscuits out of this recipe, that rose higher than any biscuit of mine has ever risen!!! I was astonished when I opened the oven door!! Thanks JP for a biscuit recipe I will use many times over!

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2003
Impressive! We liked how the crust (when baked) resembled a pizzaria crust! Once I had assembled all my toppongs on the pizza dough, I brushed the outside crust with some butter that I mixed a little garlic powder into. Now all I need is a pizza stone to have absolutely perfect results. Thanks Jason for a crust I will definately use again!
