Ham and Cheese Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
Recipe is "just okay". A little bland for me and the soft texture is a little off-putting. I wouldn't make it again but give it three stars for its ease of assembly and convenience in the morning.

Chef John's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
A very good Mac and cheese! Loved the spices in this. The thyme, and Dijon make it taste so grown up and the crunchy topping can't be beat! Good recipe. Made exactly as written, but cut the recipe in half since there were only 2 of us eating it.

Warm Dijon Potato Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2013
Mommykirsten, thanks for the great recipe! It was so good!! The only change I made was adding some sliced celery and I did not use the green onion because I didn't have any. Made the dressing an hour in advance and left it in the fridge until the potatoes were ready. Very tasty and easy side dish.

Mystery Ingredient Wild Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2013
Sooooooooo delicious! I used frozen wild blueberries - just tossed them in frozen and had great results. Not runny at all. Used the French Pastry Pie Crust from this site and it was flaky and simple to make. Will definitely make tis again.

Fabulous Fudge Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2013
Didn't really like it. I bake quite a bit and this cake just did not match up. It was bland and really needed more chocolate. The icing was good though; tasted like fudge. I gave this recipe two stars because it is a very moist cake and the icing is okay, but that is where it ends.

Easy Swedish Meatball Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
Easy and delicious! Very peppery, which I like, but you might want to decrease the pepper if you are not a fan of heat.

Perfect!! I used one cup chocolate chips, one cup butterscotch chips and no nuts. I also added an extra 2 tbsp of flour to have a rounder cookie. These are great!!!!

Cheesy Polenta

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2010
So very good! I can't wait to make this again and and again.... I followed other's advice and mixed all the ingredients (except the butter and cheese) while they were cold, and then turned on the heat. Once it was thick I added the butter and cheese and stirred until melted. Simple and delicious!

Danish Christmas Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2010
I made this as written with the exception of teh cooking time; letting it simmer for 2 hours instead of one. Delicious and easy! I can't wait to eat the leftovers. :^)

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
Very good recipe! Nice and fresh, but a little too sweet for me. Next time I make this (and there will definitely be a next time) I will cut the sugar by a third. Otherwise, this is a perfect salad!

Fiery Fish Tacos with Crunchy Corn Salsa

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
These were quite good. I made them as written, but it was really HOT. Now, I love all things hot, but this one even had my eyes watering. I will be making this recipe again since it was so delicious and easy but I'll reduce the cayenne to 2 tsp instead of tablespoons. Thanks for the great recipe!

Cranberry Upside-Down Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
A delicious cake with beautiful presentation. Perfect for the holidays. I used a 7" springform pan and made a smaller cake with more height. It baked perfectly with the time/temp listed in the recipe. This would be a great cake with any fruit/nut combo. Next time I am making apple/pecan topping. Thanks for the great recipe!

Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Treats

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
This is a great treat recipe!!! Easy to make and has been a smash hit with two out of three dogs. The third dog is notriously picky and he didn't LOVE it, but he ate it - slowly.. which means that this treat is delicious for dogs! I followed the recipe as much as possible, but used 1/2 can of pumpkin and eye-balled the peanut butter. My treats were rolled about 1/4" thick, cut into small bone shapes and they baked perfectly for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Next time I am doubling the cinnamon so my house will smell even better when they are baking. Thanks for the great recipe!

Holiday Cheese Spread

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2009
I absolutely LOVE this recipe! It is the exact one my grandma used to make every Christmas. Definitely use celery seed and garlic powder instead of their saltier counterparts. And I use 1/4 tsp of cayenne and it is perfect. This makes a HUGE cheeseball, so I make it into four little balls and freeze them and take them out if company's coming. They are even better after they've been frozen. :-) OH, and I use old Cheddar. Can't lose.

Slow Cook Thai Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
This was not that good. I will not be making it again. It looked like it would be really good, but I was disappointed. I am not sure what to do to make it better. Gave it two starts because it was easy to make.
