This a great alternative to your standard apple pie and it is more fun than dutch apple! Easy to make and I still had time to do laundry!

Apple Butter I

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2005
I have used this recipe for the last 3 years and it is always a hit. So easy! I keep the skin on the apples and when they are all done cooking I ladle the mixture into the blender so it is smooth. Saves me that extra labor of peeling and chopping.

Moroccan Cooked Pepper Salad

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
I cooked the vegetables on the grill and they turned out great! We even used the left over salad as an alternative to our usual fajitas mix.

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
I will never buy a can of premade beans again! I make a big batch and split it into two so that we can freeze it to cook another time.

Cranberry Salsa

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
We made this salsa last year for a party we had with friends the Friday after Thanksgiving. It was SO easy to make and we did not stray from the recipe. We used leftover turkey to make "Turkey Wontons" and the salsa was the dipping sauce. We ran out of both and ended up going to the store to make more! Everyone left with the recipe... Best Friday Thanksgiving ever!

Thanksgiving Won Tons

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
We made these last year for a party we had with friends the Friday after Thanksgiving. It was SO easy to make and we did not stray from the recipe. We used leftover turkey to make Turkey Wontons and we used the Cranberry Salsa recipe found on this site (the one with Grand Marnier) as the dipping sauce. We ran out of both and ended up going to the store to make more! Everyone left with the recipe... Best Friday Thanksgiving ever!

Naan

Very easy to make and we have so much fun with it. We make this every time we have curry and we experiment with adding things like roasted garlic, peas, and so on...

Traditional Chicken Curry

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
I was nervous about the long list of ingredients, but now that I have made it so many times, I wouldn't change a thing. This is a great curry that you can easily adjust the "heat" to your own preference. About half way through, I divide the curry and make one very hot for myself, and the other I leave mild for my husband.

What a surprise! They were gone before the little smokies wrapped in bacon... and that is saying a lot!

These were fun and easy. I was looking for one like my mom used to make. These were close, but not quite the same so I may be biased.

I look forward to being out of salad dressing so I can make this. It is a nice break in the world of bottled dressings.

All Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
This is a nice simple recipe. I have an apple slicer / corer / peeler that I use for this. The kids like to "help" and operate it. I do not peel them though. I cook according to directions, but then at the end I run the butter through the blender and it turns to a spread. This also takes care of the skins and the skins give it a deep color.
