Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2006
Wow. Fantastic. I will make this a lot. I used 1/2 the amt of onion and even thought that was a little over powering. I will use 1 small shallot next time.

I used yukon potatoes and added a little more mayo and vinegar. I like the bacon in the salad. It was good.

Barbecued Beef

I did not like how oily the sauce was after taking out the roast to shred. I added a little bit of Jack Daniels BBQ sauce and skimmed all the fat after it cooled. This was delicous I will definitely make again.

Homesteader Cornbread

Not good. Amusement Park Cornbread from this site is way better. Lacking sweetness and texture is not good.

Wow. Very good. My favorite fried chicken on this site. I did add seasonings however, salt, more pepper, paprika, italian seasoning, onion/garlic powder, emeril's seasoning.

Juicy Steak

remember to let your meat rest for 15 minutes or so. Update for: RedRobynNau - suggestion for your smoke problem , when broiling you leave the oven semi open and put your fan on your stove on. Of course a little smoke from the fat will occur thats why you need to leave your oven open and perhaps a window if your home is small. Hope this helps

Chicken Tetrazzini for a Crowd

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2006
Awesome. I boiled chicken breast in chicken stock while preparing the pasta. I modified a little - I sauteed the mushrooms with chopped onions and a little minced garlic until carmelized. This dish is very good even the next day. Great crowd pleaser.

Chocolate Banana Bread

Awesome. I chopped up a candy bar instead of morsels because thats what I had on hand. This is so good. Remember the more ripe the banana the better the bread.

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2005
Very sweet. I forgot to listen to other reviewers who suggested cutting back the sugar to 1/4 c. I will definitely make next time with less sugar than this will get 5 stars. The topping is yummy.
