Touchdown Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2014
Very good! Like others, I added more chicken. I ended up doubling the amount of chicken and thought that was the perfect amount. If I do it again, I will put less sauce on the pizza (maybe 1/4 cup plus 1 TBSP), but other than that it was yummy, and perfect for watching football.

Amazing Peanut Butter Cup Biscotti

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2013
I don't believe I did anything wrong, but mine didn't come out quite right. I halved the recipe, but otherwise kept it the same except for using creamy peanut butter instead of crunchy because that was what I had (oh, and chocolate chips in batter rather than PB). Either way, my batter/dough came out kind of crumbly and would not hold together well. My finished product was a bit dense for biscotti, and mostly ended up in pieces than slices, but those pieces did taste pretty good.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2013
Not sure why this recipe is rated so highly. It's alright. We will eat it without complaint, but we definitely won't make it again. It's just...not that great. I will say that it's super easy. That part was awesome, oh, and the chicken comes out super tender.

Angel Food Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2013
Okay, I did mine in muffin pans and let me tell you, dusting with flour is not good enough (unless maybe you want to use a whole lot of flour). Don't be stupid like me and wait for it to really spring back at you. If it is evenly brown, it is probably done. I burnt all of mine and it was really sad. The flavor was alright, and perhaps in a tube pan it's awesome and worth five stars, but I am guessing I'd still give it a 4.

Heather's Cilantro, Black Bean, and Corn Salsa

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2013
I did not follow this recipe, but instead did my own thing after looking at multiple corn salsa recipes on AllRecipes. Turns out, I almost followed this one on accident. I used proportionately more tomatoes because I had homegrown ones that I wanted to use. I did not use avocado, or olive oil. Oh, and I used about 3/4 of a small jalapeno pepper so there would actually be some kick. My salsa was yummy, and felt very healthy and refreshing, so I'm sure any close variety of this one will be also. Use this as a guideline and just adjust to your liking.

Ultimate Frozen Strawberry Margarita

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2013
These are delicious! I put it all in the blender at once and it was so easy. The people who did not rate them well need to learn that this is the kind of recipe you tweek to your liking. If you think it has too much alcohol or not enough, change the amount! For my preferences, this margharita was perfect. Also, none of us thought it was too sweet. There's enough techila to tone down the sweetness in the other ingredients. Just play with it. If you are worried about the frozen strawberries with syrup being too sweet, use only 4 oz of them and add either plain frozen or fresh berries. It's not hard people. Don't lower the rating of the recipe by several stars just because all of us have different taste buds.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2013
I'm giving this recipe five stars. I had never had brussel sprouts before, and I found these very good. I agree that you need to follow the instructions and get them dark. Even the extra leaves which fall off can be thrown on the tray. I don't think I would want sea salt with these like some people said. I will probably try a little garlic next time just to see how it is, but I would definitely recommend trying the recipe as is first. Very good :)

Traditional Christmas Cheese Ball

We liked it, but I like my mother-in-law's version better. It's similar, but has more beef, all green onions, and more Worcestershire.

Light Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2013
Wonderful! I just got engaged so I'm trying to make healthier snacks and sweets to prepare for wedding dress shopping. I had pudding mix loose in a container so I just used a tablespoon since several people said it was fine without. I didn't have chocolate chips so I cut up some chocolate bars. I didn't use the full amount of chocolate and I think these would be delicious with or without them. I made them as mini-muffins and they took about 12-14 minutes in my oven. I also made some with liners and some without. Make them! They're awesome!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
I just want to know what the 57 one star raters did wrong! Though, I don't even know how you could mess this up. I followed the directions, except I has all dried herbs and didn't get fresh parsley. Oh, and I also used a slightly bigger pan. It was wonderful! I have not had many different lasagnas in my day so I don't exactly know how it compares, but it was very good, whether or not it's the world's best.

Melt-in-Your-Mouth Broiled Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2012
I really enjoyed this! My fillets were a bit big and needed a few more minutes, and I used a pink wine since it was all I had on hand. I also just used a little parsley since I didn't have the fines herbs. Actually, I didn't have garlic salt either, and it was all still delicious!

Pretty good :) I should have greased the pan more, and I think 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg would be plenty.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2012
These are good, and the best part about them is that they do stay soft for days. However, I don't like the fact that the kind of stick to each other and have a weird texture and feel.

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2012
I really liked this. I used sausage instead of bacon which I like better for quiche. I also had to use one less egg but it turned out fine (I used a little bit less half and half to match). However, according to my boyfriend it's not as good as the quiche made by his mother and grandmother so it only gets four stars from me.
